Installation Guide
⚠️ Important: Always turn off the power supply at the main breaker before proceeding with installation to prevent electric shock.
Wiring Connections (Single Gang)
The switch features terminals for connecting power and the load:
- L: Connect the Live wire from the mains power supply here.
- N: Connect the Neutral wire from the mains power supply here.
- L1: Connect the wire going to your light fixture (switched live) here.
Ensure all wire connections are secure and correctly matched to the terminals.
Installation Steps
- Power Off: Ensure the power to the circuit is turned off at the breaker.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall switch from its mounting box. Disconnect the wires.
- Connect Wires: Connect the mains Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires to the corresponding 'L' and 'N' terminals on the SONOFF E1GSL. Connect the wire going to the light to the 'L1' terminal.
- Mount Switch: Secure the SONOFF E1GSL switch into the wall mounting box using the provided screws.
- Install Faceplate: Attach the wall faceplate.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the breaker.
- Pairing: Follow the instructions in the eWeLink app to pair the switch with your Wi-Fi network.
Two-Way and Three-Way Switching
The SONOFF E1GSL supports two-way and three-way switching configurations, allowing you to control a single light from multiple locations. This requires interconnecting the 'L2' and 'L3' terminals between the switches according to specific wiring diagrams. Generally, this involves connecting L2 of one switch to L2 of the next, and L3 of one to L3 of the next, with the load connected to L1 of the final switch in the chain.
App Pairing
To use the smart features, download the eWeLink app from your smartphone's app store (Android or iOS). Open the app, create an account or log in, and follow the on-screen instructions to add the SONOFF E1GSL switch. Typically, this involves pressing and holding the button on the switch until the Wi-Fi indicator blinks rapidly, then completing the pairing process within the app.
