Prerequisite: Make sure you’ve installed all other available update patches for v7.5.0 before you begin this update process.
This document provides a description of the CIMC 4.3(5.250030) Firmware M6 Common Update Patch for Secure Network Analytics along with instructions for installing the patch.

This firmware update can be performed using either the SWU file/procedura o ISO file/procedura descritta di seguito:

Scaricamento
Per scaricare la patch di aggiornamento comune file, completare i seguenti passi:

1. 1. Accedi a Cisco Software Central, https://software.cisco.com .
   2. Nell'area Download e aggiornamento, seleziona Accedi ai download.
   3. Digita Secure Network Analytics nella casella di ricerca Seleziona un prodotto.
   4.  Scegli il modello dell'elettrodomestico dall'elenco a discesa, quindi premi Invio.
   5.  Under Select a Software Type, choose Secure Network Analytics Patches, then choose Firmware > Firmware in the All Release area to locate the patch.
   6. Scarica e salva il file, patch-common-SNA-FIRMWARE-20250403-v2- 01. swu.

Installazione
Per installare l'aggiornamento della patch di aggiornamento comune file, completare i seguenti passi:

1. 1. Accedi al Gestore.
   2. On the Network Analytics page, choose Configure > Global > Central Management.
   3. Fare clic su Gestore aggiornamenti.
   4. On the Update Manager page, click Upload, and then open the saved file, patch-common-SNA-FIRMWARE-20250403-v2-01.swu.
   5. Fare clic sul menu Azioni dell'appliance, quindi fare clic su Installa aggiornamento.
      The patch stops the Vertica Database, then restarts the appliance.
   6.  Make sure you restart Vertica on any Data Node after the update patch file si installa correttamente su tutti i nodi dati.
      • Accedi al Gestore.
      • Go to Central Management > Data Store > Database Control.
      • Under the Database Control tab, click the (Ellipsis) icon in the Actions column for the database.
      • Selezionare Avvia.
      • Confirm the database status is shown as Connected. The installation process can take up to 90 minutes; the appliance restarts automatically.

Scaricamento
Per scaricare la patch di aggiornamento file, completare i seguenti passi:

1. 1. Accedi a Cisco Software Central, https://software.cisco.com .

   7. There are two ways of installing ISO:

      • Installazione tramite vDVD mappato CIMC

Prima dell'installazione
If you have firewall rules enabled for Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC), specify 169.254.254.2 in the list of allowed hosts to ensure the update is successful. Otherwise you can skip this step and go to Installation Using vKVM-Mapped vDVD or Installation Using CIMC-Mapped vDVD, depending on your preferred installation method.

1. 1. Log in to the unit’s Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) interface using a web browser.
   2.  Choose Networking > Network Security.
   3. In the IP Filtering (Allow Listing) menu, enter 169.254.254.2 IP value in the IP filter field.
   4.  Fare clic su Salva modifiche.

Installazione tramite vDVD mappato vKVM
Questo metodo di installazione aggiorna il firmware accedendo all'ISO di aggiornamento del firmware file memorizzati sulla macchina utilizzata per connettersi all'interfaccia utente CIMC.
To install the firmware patch from an ISO image, use the vKVM console of an M6 machine.

1. 1. Log in to the unit’s Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) interface using a web browser.
   2. Select Launch KVM on the toolbar, if prompted, select HTML based KVM.
   3. The Virtual Console opens in a new browser tab.
   4. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media to check for existing mappings. If any mappings exist (either vKVM-Mapped or CIMC-Mapped), eject them.

   5. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media > vKVM-Mapped vDVD from the menu on the left side of the window to open the Map Virtual Media – CD/DVD dialog.
   6. In the Map Virtual Media – CD/DVD dialog box, browse to the locally stored SNA M6 appliance firmware ISO file, selezionarlo e fare clic su Mappa unità per mappare l'ISO locale sull'unità virtuale dell'appliance SNA M6.
   7. From the vKVM console, click Virtual Media from the menu on the left side of the window to verify that the ISO is mapped.
   8. Select Macros > Static Macros > CTRL-ALT-DEL to initiate the reboot process.
   9. Press the F6 key on your keyboard when the Cisco logo and boot messages appear in the vKVM console.
   10. When the Please select boot device: dialog box appears, select Cisco vKVM-Mapped vDVD2.00. The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, causing a temporary loss of connection. If this occurs, log in to the CIMC again and re-launch the vKVM Console to continue monitoring the update. Once the firmware update is complete, the ISO will be ejected or unmounted, and the SNA appliance will reboot.
   11. Verify on the CIMC Chassis Summary page that the firmware has been updated.

Installazione tramite vDVD mappato CIMC

To install the firmware patch from an ISO image, use the vKVM console on the M6 machine.

1. 1. Log in to the unit’s Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) interface using a web browser.

      • In the Name field, enter a descriptive name (for example, Firmware_ 2025).

   6. From the vKVM console, click Virtual Media to verify that the mapping is in effect.

   9. When the Please select boot device: dialog box appears, select Cisco CIMC-Mapped vDVD2.00.The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, after which the firmware update will continue. A CIMC reboot will cause a temporary loss of connection. Log in to the CIMC again and re-launch the vKVM Console to monitor the update progress.
      After the firmware update is complete, the ISO will not be automatically unmapped. Be sure to manually unmap the ISO before performing another reboot.
   10.  In the vKVM console, after you see the message All fileUna volta copiato e verificato, l'ISO è stato caricato e l'aggiornamento del firmware ha inizio. A questo punto, è possibile espellere o demappare l'ISO del firmware precedentemente mappato.
   11. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media and click the name of the previously configured mapping to eject or unmap it.
   12. Click Confirm to unmap the ISO file. The firmware update continues, and the next reboot will start the SNA M6 appliance.
   13. On the CIMC Chassis Summary page, verify that the firmware has been updated to the expected version.
