VBTER support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I change the frequency on my VBTER walkie-talkie?
Use the channel knob typically located on the top panel of your radio to select your desired channel. Rotating the knob clockwise will increase the channel number, while rotating it counterclockwise will decrease it.
-
What do the red and green indicator lights mean?
On most VBTER models, the top indicator light turns red when you press the PTT button to transmit a signal. It turns green when the radio is actively receiving an incoming transmission.
-
Can I use my VBTER two-way radio hands-free?
Yes, many VBTER walkie-talkies feature a VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) function. Once enabled, you can speak into the microphone at a normal volume to automatically trigger transmission without needing to hold down the PTT button.
-
What does the "DU" alarm sound mean during transmission?
This sound is triggered by the Time-Out Timer (TOT) feature, which is designed to prevent continuous transmission. It alerts you that you have held the PTT button past the allotted continuous transmission limit and stops the broadcast to protect the radio.
-
How do I adjust the volume?
The power knob on top of the device also serves as the volume control. Turn the radio on by rotating it clockwise, and continue rotating it to dial up the volume. Turn it counterclockwise to decrease volume and power off the unit.
