Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • How do I factory reset my Schlage smart lock?

To perform a Factory Default Reset (FDR), remove the battery cover, press and hold the enrollment button until the LED lights solid amber, and release. Three long green blinks and beeps indicate success. Warning: This erases all stored user codes!

  • Where can I find the default programming code for my Schlage lock?

The Default Programming Code and default user codes are typically located on stickers on the back of the inside lock assembly and on the front of the original English user guide.

  • What do the flashing red lights mean on my Schlage lock?

If you see 10 red flashing lights when pressing the outside lock button, your battery is critically low and must be replaced immediately. If you see 4 yellow flashes, the battery is low but not yet critical.

  • How do I enable Auto-Lock mode on my Schlage Lever?

For mechanical keypad models like the JFE105, turn the inside thumb turn to a horizontal position. For connected models like the JFE109, press the white button above the inside lever until the LED blinks green.
