1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Naifay Android 12 Car Radio. This 9-inch IPS touch screen head unit is designed to enhance your driving experience with advanced features such as wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, WiFi connectivity, Steering Wheel Control (SWC) compatibility, and support for a backup camera.

Compatibility: This unit is compatible with Nissan Sentra and Sylphy models from 2013 to 2019. Please verify your vehicle's compatibility before installation.

Important Notice: This car radio does not support vehicles equipped with large factory screens or B.O.S.E/J.B.L amplifier sound systems. If you are uncertain about compatibility, please contact Naifay support with your vehicle's model, year, and a picture of your car dashboard.

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Package Contents

Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present in the package:

2.2 Pre-Installation Check

It is crucial to confirm the shape of your car's center console, model, and year before proceeding with installation. Some users have reported that for 2018/2019 Nissan Sentra models, additional aftermarket connectors may be required for full functionality, particularly for the backup camera and other wiring. All necessary cables for standard installation are provided, eliminating the need to cut existing vehicle wiring.

2.3 Wiring Connections

Carefully follow the wiring diagrams provided. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent malfunctions.

• Power Cord: Connect the main power harness to your vehicle's wiring.
• RCA Cables: For audio/video input/output connections.
• USB Ports: Connect external USB devices.
• GPS Antenna: Install the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.
• Backup Camera: Connect the backup camera as per the diagram. The white plug must be connected to the car radio for Bluetooth and WiFi signals.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On and User Interface

After successful installation, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The unit will power on automatically. The Android 12 operating system provides a user-friendly interface. You can customize the appearance with various UI themes available.

3.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

This unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth and WiFi to access navigation, music, calls, messages, and other compatible apps directly on the head unit's screen. This feature allows for hands-free operation using voice assistants like Siri or Google Assistant, enhancing driving safety.

3.3 GPS Navigation & WiFi Connectivity

Connect the unit to a WiFi network or your mobile hotspot to download offline maps or use online navigation services. The integrated GPS module provides accurate positioning. You can also download various applications from the unit's app store. Note that due to 2GB RAM, it is recommended to limit installed applications to 1-2 to prevent system slowdowns.

3.4 Bluetooth & FM Radio

The unit features Bluetooth for hands-free calling, phonebook download, and audio streaming. The FM radio offers high-quality stereo sound with automatic, semi-automatic, and manual channel search options, along with unlimited preset stations.

3.5 MirrorLink

MirrorLink functionality allows you to wirelessly mirror your iOS or Android smartphone screen onto the head unit display.

3.6 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

The unit retains your vehicle's original steering wheel control functions, allowing convenient access to music playback, call answering, and other features without taking your hands off the wheel.

3.7 Rear-view Camera Input

The included AHD backup reversing camera provides a 170° viewing angle and water resistance, offering a clear view of the road conditions behind your vehicle when reversing, day or night, in various weather conditions. This assists in safer and easier parking maneuvers.

3.8 Split Screen

Utilize the split-screen feature to run two applications simultaneously, such as navigation and music playback, for enhanced multitasking.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Naifay car radio, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touch screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
• Software Updates: Periodically check for available software updates from Naifay to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes.
• Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

• GPS Signal Issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is installed in a location with an unobstructed view of the sky.
• WiFi/Bluetooth Connectivity Problems: Ensure the white plug for the Bluetooth/WiFi antenna is correctly connected to the car radio. If phone pairing is slow after ignition, allow a few extra seconds for connection.
• System Freezing/Slow Performance: The unit has 2GB of RAM. It is recommended to install only 1-2 essential applications to maintain optimal performance. Excessive applications can lead to freezing.
• Backup Camera Not Displaying: Verify the camera's power and video signal connections. Ensure the reverse gear is engaged. For 2018/2019 Nissan Sentra models, check if an aftermarket connector is needed for full camera functionality.
• Steering Wheel Controls Not Working: Ensure SWC wires are correctly connected and configured in the unit's settings.
• Screen Glare: The glossy screen may reflect light on bright days. Adjust screen angle or vehicle's sun visor as needed.
• Call Clarity Issues: Adjust the placement of the external microphone for optimal voice pickup.
