Common Problems and Simple Troubleshooting
1) Unable to boot normally
- Wiring: Ensure correct connection of yellow (12V), red (key control), and black (ground) wires.
- Fuse: Check the fuse on the yellow wire. If it blows repeatedly, there might be a short circuit in the unit.
- Testing: Connect directly to a 12V battery to test if the unit boots. If it does, the car's wiring may be the issue.
2) Automatic shut-down
- Cable Error: Ensure the blue cable (automatic antenna power supply) is not connected to the unit's power cable.
- Voltage Instability: Test with a stable 12V-5A power supply.
3) Having noise
- Speaker Power: Insufficient speaker power can cause noise at high volumes. Consider upgrading speakers.
- Speaker Cable Grounding: Ensure speaker cables are not grounded.
4) Remote control cannot be used
- Battery Check: Use a phone camera to test the remote's infrared signal. Replace the battery if no signal is detected.
5) Settings cannot be saved (no memory)
- Wiring: Ensure yellow and red wires are correctly connected (yellow to positive, red to key control). If reversed, swap their positions.
6) Car audio with Bluetooth but it can't work
- Pairing: Search for "CAR-BT" on your phone, connect using PIN "0000".
7) Product smoke / FUSE blown
If the FUSE repeatedly blows, the internal circuit may be burned and require repair.
8) Sound adjustment / Equalizer
- Volume: Adjust volume using the knob.
- Equalizer: Access EQ settings via the volume knob.
- No Sound Adjustment: Reset the unit or check if the volume knob is faulty.
9) No display of reversing video
- Wiring: Ensure correct camera connection: power, video cable, and reverse control line. Connect the reverse control line to the 12V positive and the backup light positive. Connect the video cable to the CAME video input.
- Camera Fault: If the camera's indicator light doesn't illuminate, it may be faulty.
10) USB flash disk issues
- Formatting: Format the USB flash drive to FAT32.
- Card Slot: Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and the slot is not damaged.
11) FM does not receive the radio station
- Antenna: Ensure the antenna is fully inserted and connected.
- Search: Use auto-search (AMS) or manual tuning. If issues persist, try inserting a metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary measure.
12) No sound right after installation
- Speaker Wiring: Check for short-circuited speaker cables. Ensure the correct number of speaker wires are connected (two wires per speaker).
13) There is no sound after a while
- Testing: Disconnect speaker cables and connect an external speaker to test the unit's output. If sound is present, the car's speaker wiring or speakers may be faulty. If no sound, the unit may be broken.
