4. Setup

4.1. Hose Connection

The pump is supplied with a multi-size hose adapter. Select the appropriate diameter for your hose and securely attach it to the pump's outlet.

  1. Identify the required hose diameter (25mm, 32mm, 38mm, or 47mm).
  2. If necessary, cut the adapter to the desired diameter using a sharp knife.
  3. Screw the adapter firmly onto the pump's discharge port.
  4. Attach your discharge hose to the adapter and secure it with a hose clamp if needed.

5. Operating Modes

The Wiltec 400W Submersible Pump offers two operating modes: Automatic and Continuous.

5.1. Automatic Mode

In Automatic mode, the pump starts and stops based on the water level, controlled by the integrated float switch. The float switch has four adjustable positions to set the desired ON/OFF water levels.

  • Connect the float switch cable to the designated slot on the pump.
  • Adjust the float switch position to set the desired water levels for activation and deactivation.
  • The pump will automatically turn on when the water level rises to the ON position and turn off when it drops to the OFF position.

5.2. Continuous Mode

In Continuous mode, the pump operates constantly as long as it is connected to power. This mode is suitable for situations requiring continuous drainage, but requires supervision to prevent dry running.

  • Ensure the float switch is secured in an upward position or bypassed according to the pump's instructions (if applicable) to maintain continuous operation.
  • Monitor the pump to prevent it from running dry, which can cause damage.

6. Operation

Once the pump is set up and the desired operating mode is selected:

  1. Ensure all connections are secure and the pump is correctly positioned.
  2. Plug the power cable into a suitable 230V power outlet.
  3. The pump will begin operating according to the selected mode.
  4. Monitor the pump during operation, especially in continuous mode, to ensure it does not run dry.
  5. After use, unplug the pump from the power outlet.
