Safety Instructions

⚠️ Beware:

⚠️ Attention:

❗ Warning: Carefully read all the safety guidelines and the instructions. Non-compliance with the safety rules and regulations can lead to an electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Keep the instructions and the safety guidelines in a safe place in case you need them in the future.

Stability

Electrical Connection

Installation

The pump must be installed as follows: either in a fixed position with rigid fixed pipeline or in a fixed position with flexible pipeline.

⚠️ Attention:

ℹ️ Note: The pump chamber should have at least the following dimensions: 40×40×50 cm; thus, the float switch can move freely.

Power Supply

The submersible pump is provided with a safety plug. The pump is suitable for being connected to an earthed (grounded) socket with 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Make sure that the socket outlet is sufficiently fused (min. 6 A) and in perfect condition. Insert the pump plug in the socket outlet and the pump is ready for running.

⚠️ Caution: If the power cable or the plug is damaged due to external factors, the cable must not be repaired but replaced with a new one! This work can be carried out only by an electrician.

Installation and Commissioning

Before first use, sufficiently long and strong ropes should be attached to the handle. When the pump is submerged in the liquid, the rope can be used along with a handle to balance the pump.

Installation

A surface area of at least 60 × 60 cm is required for the device. During the installation of the device, make sure that the intake opening is not blocked by foreign objects to ensure the stability of the device.

Setting the Float Switch

  1. The float switch is inserted through the sensor plug on the pump housing and led into the interior of the housing to automatically control the starting water level.
  2. Please check the following points before the submersible pump is put into operation.
  3. The sensor must be inserted into the corresponding pre-drilled hole of the pump housing to ensure it remains securely in place.

⚠️ Attention! If the sensor is not securely inserted into the pre-drilled hole of the pump housing, the pump may fail to pump water or run dry, which can damage the device.

Ensure that the metal part of the sensor is fully exposed and clean.

⚠️ Attention! Handling the Rope

Do not operate the pump without the pressure hose to prevent the pump from rotating around its longitudinal axis. During continuous use of the pump with a rope, the condition of the rope must be checked regularly, as it can tear with increasing use.

Connecting the Pressure Pipe

  1. Screw the pressure pipe onto the pressure connector. All connections must be sealed with thread sealing tape.
  2. When using a hose, screw the appropriate hose adapter into the pressure connector.
  3. Secure the hose firmly to the hose adapter and secure it with a hose clamp.
  4. For occasional use, please use a suitable pipe. For fixed installation, a rigid pipe with a check valve is recommended. This can be attached to the end of the pump to prevent liquid backflow.
  5. Tie a strong rope to the handle of the pump and then immerse it at a certain angle into the liquid to be conveyed, ensuring no bubbles form at the bottom of the device to prevent bubbles from being sucked in.
  6. Lower the device slowly. Once the pump is submerged, it can be realigned.
  7. The pump is placed at the bottom of a liquid container, such as a tank. Secure the loose end of the rope after lowering so that the pump can be operated even when hanging on the rope. The pump can be operated after the device is connected to the power source.

⚠️ Attention! The pump must not transport corrosive, flammable, and explosive substances (such as gasoline, petroleum, nitro thinner), grease, oil, saltwater, and sewage from toilet facilities, as well as low-mobility sludge sewage. The temperature of the liquid must not exceed 35 °C.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Causes Solution
The pump does not start. No voltage supply
Float switch does not function.
The metal contact of the sensor is blocked by dirt.
Check voltage supply.
Put float switch in a higher position.
Clean the sensor.
The pump does not pump. Suction strainer is blocked.
Pressure hose is kinked.
Clean suction strainer with jet of water.
Remove kink.
The pump does not turn off. The metal contact of the sensor is blocked by dirt. Clean the sensor.
Insufficient pump flow rate. Suction strainer is blocked.
Pump capacity is reduced due to dirty and sanding water.
Clean suction strainer.
Clean pump and replace worn parts.
The pump switches off after a short running time. Motor protection shuts down the pump because the water is too dirty.
Water temperature is too high, Motor protection shuts down.
Disconnect pump and clean it together with pump chamber.
Make sure that water temperature does not exceed 35 °C.

Cleaning

⚠️ Attention! Before using the pump again, clean it first to remove any possible dirt residues that could affect the operation of the device.

Storage

If there is a risk of frost, remove the device and accessories, clean them, and store them in a place protected from frost.
