Stability
- The max. temperature of the conveyed water should not exceed +35 °C in permanent operation.
- The transport of explosive, flammable or gassing fluids is not allowed.
- The waste water pump must not be used for conveying other fluids, certainly not for motor fuels, cleaning agents and other chemical products!
Electrical Connection
- The electrical connection needs to be with a safety socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Fuse protection at least 10 A.
- The pump is turned on and off by means of the built-in on/off switch. The indicator lamp inside the switch lights up if the engine is started.
- The engine is protected against overloading or blocking by means of a built-in thermal motor protection. In case of overheating, the pump is turned off automatically due to the overheat protection and after its cooling, the pump is automatically started.
Installation
The pump must be installed as follows: either in a fixed position with rigid fixed pipeline or in a fixed position with flexible pipeline.
⚠️ Attention:
- When installing the pump, make sure that the pump does not hang up on the pipeline or on its electric cable. The submersible pump must be hung on the handle provided for this purpose or be laid on a pump chamber ground. To ensure the proper function of the pump, the base of the pump chamber must always be mud-free or free of dirt.
- If the water level is low, the mud on the chamber ground can dry up quickly and impede the pump from running. For this reason, it is necessary that the submersible pump is regularly checked (by carrying out a start-up test).
- The float switch is set in such a way so that the pump can start up immediately.
ℹ️ Note: The pump chamber should have at least the following dimensions: 40×40×50 cm; thus, the float switch can move freely.
Power Supply
The submersible pump is provided with a safety plug. The pump is suitable for being connected to an earthed (grounded) socket with 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Make sure that the socket outlet is sufficiently fused (min. 6 A) and in perfect condition. Insert the pump plug in the socket outlet and the pump is ready for running.
⚠️ Caution: If the power cable or the plug is damaged due to external factors, the cable must not be repaired but replaced with a new one! This work can be carried out only by an electrician.
Installation and Commissioning
Before first use, sufficiently long and strong ropes should be attached to the handle. When the pump is submerged in the liquid, the rope can be used along with a handle to balance the pump.
Installation
A surface area of at least 60 × 60 cm is required for the device. During the installation of the device, make sure that the intake opening is not blocked by foreign objects to ensure the stability of the device.
Setting the Float Switch
- The float switch is inserted through the sensor plug on the pump housing and led into the interior of the housing to automatically control the starting water level.
- Please check the following points before the submersible pump is put into operation.
- The sensor must be inserted into the corresponding pre-drilled hole of the pump housing to ensure it remains securely in place.
⚠️ Attention! If the sensor is not securely inserted into the pre-drilled hole of the pump housing, the pump may fail to pump water or run dry, which can damage the device.
Ensure that the metal part of the sensor is fully exposed and clean.
⚠️ Attention! Handling the Rope
Do not operate the pump without the pressure hose to prevent the pump from rotating around its longitudinal axis. During continuous use of the pump with a rope, the condition of the rope must be checked regularly, as it can tear with increasing use.
Connecting the Pressure Pipe
- Screw the pressure pipe onto the pressure connector. All connections must be sealed with thread sealing tape.
- When using a hose, screw the appropriate hose adapter into the pressure connector.
- Secure the hose firmly to the hose adapter and secure it with a hose clamp.
- For occasional use, please use a suitable pipe. For fixed installation, a rigid pipe with a check valve is recommended. This can be attached to the end of the pump to prevent liquid backflow.
- Tie a strong rope to the handle of the pump and then immerse it at a certain angle into the liquid to be conveyed, ensuring no bubbles form at the bottom of the device to prevent bubbles from being sucked in.
- Lower the device slowly. Once the pump is submerged, it can be realigned.
- The pump is placed at the bottom of a liquid container, such as a tank. Secure the loose end of the rope after lowering so that the pump can be operated even when hanging on the rope. The pump can be operated after the device is connected to the power source.
⚠️ Attention! The pump must not transport corrosive, flammable, and explosive substances (such as gasoline, petroleum, nitro thinner), grease, oil, saltwater, and sewage from toilet facilities, as well as low-mobility sludge sewage. The temperature of the liquid must not exceed 35 °C.
