3. Setup Instructions

1. Prepare the Unit: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the hose is securely wrapped around the base.
2. Fill the Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank (typically the larger tank on the right side of the unit). Unscrew the cap and fill with warm tap water up to the indicated fill line. Replace the cap and securely place the tank back onto the unit.
3. Add Cleaning Formula to SmartMix Tank: Remove the SmartMix formula tank (the smaller tank on the left side). Fill with BISSELL PET PRO OXY Spot & Stain formula up to the indicated fill line. The SmartMix Technology will automatically mix the correct ratio of formula and water during operation. Securely place the tank back onto the unit.
4. Attach Cleaning Tool: Select the desired cleaning tool (Self-cleaning Tough Stain Tool or Specialized Pet Hair Removal Tool) and firmly attach it to the end of the hose.
5. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Press the power button located on the top of the unit to turn it on.
2. Pre-treat (Optional): For heavily soiled areas, hold the cleaning tool about 1 inch above the surface and press the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution. Allow the solution to sit for 3-5 minutes before proceeding.
3. Spray, Scrub, and Suction:
   • Place the cleaning tool directly on the stained area.
   • Press the spray trigger to dispense cleaning solution while pulling the tool slowly over the stain.
   • Release the spray trigger and slowly pull the tool over the area to suction up the dirty solution. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed and no more dirty solution is being picked up.
4. Rinse (Optional): For best results, rinse the cleaned area by filling the SmartMix tank with only warm water (no formula) and repeating the spray and suction steps.

5. Maintenance

1. Empty Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank (the clear tank on the left side of the unit). Carefully carry it to a sink or toilet and pour out the dirty water.
2. Rinse Tanks: Rinse both the dirty water tank and the clean water/SmartMix tank thoroughly with warm water. Allow them to air dry before reassembling.
3. Clean Tools: Rinse the cleaning tools under warm water to remove any debris or residue. The Self-cleaning Tough Stain Tool can be rinsed by attaching it to the hose and running clean water through the unit.
4. Store Unit: Wrap the hose and power cord neatly around the designated storage areas on the unit. Store the unit in a dry, protected area.
