Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Knog Blinder Front Bike Light, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light body and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the light's finish or lens.
  • Storage: Store the light in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
  • Water Resistance: The light has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected from dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets.
  • Strap Care: Inspect the silicone straps regularly for any signs of wear or damage. Replace them if necessary to ensure secure mounting.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Blinder Front Bike Light, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Light Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the light to a USB port for charging.
    • Perform a long press (1-2 seconds) on the power button to activate.
  • Light Not Charging:
    • Verify the USB-A connector is fully inserted into a working USB port.
    • Try a different USB port or charging adapter.
    • Check for any debris in the USB connector on the light.
  • Dim Light or Short Runtime:
    • Ensure the light is fully charged before use.
    • The battery's capacity may decrease over time with repeated charging cycles.
    • Operating in higher brightness modes will naturally result in shorter runtimes.
  • Light Not Mounting Securely:
    • Ensure you are using the correct size silicone strap for your bike component.
    • Verify the clasp is fully engaged and locked.
