4. Assembly

The Gotrax electric bike arrives approximately 90% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly:

1. Unfold the Bike: Carefully unfold the frame and secure the folding mechanisms.
2. Install Handlebars: Insert the handlebar stem into the frame and tighten the quick-release lever. Adjust the handlebar height to your preference and secure it.
3. Install Seat Post: Insert the seat post into the frame. Adjust the seat height for comfortable pedaling and secure with the quick-release lever.
4. Attach Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal screws counter-clockwise, and the right pedal screws clockwise. Tighten securely with a wrench.
5. Check Tire Pressure: Inflate tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

6. Setup

1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the bike's charging port or remove the battery to charge it separately. The charging indicator on the charger will change when fully charged (typically 4-5 hours).
2. Battery Safety Lock: Ensure the battery safety pin is inserted out of the frame and the battery is locked in the frame using the provided key. This prevents theft and ensures secure operation.

7. Operating Instructions

Operating your Gotrax electric bike is straightforward with controls conveniently located on the handlebars.

1. Power On/Off: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position to power on the bike and activate the display screen. Turn the key to OFF to power down.
2. Battery Level: The display panel shows the current remaining battery charge. Monitor this to plan your rides accordingly.
3. Throttle Acceleration: Once switched on, turn the throttle on the right handlebar to accelerate forward. This bike operates with a single gear.
4. Headlight: Push the ON button on the handlebar to turn on the LED headlight. Push the OFF button to turn off the headlight.
5. Horn: Press the horn button on the handlebar to alert others.
6. Braking: Squeeze the brake levers on both handlebars to engage the dual mechanical disc brakes for effective stopping.

8. Folding and Portability
