Introduction

Welcome to the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro user manual. These open-ear Bluetooth bone conduction sport headphones are designed to provide a premium listening experience while maintaining situational awareness. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your OpenRun Pro headphones.

The OpenRun Pro features 9th generation bone conduction technology with Shokz TurboPitch for enhanced bass, a lightweight titanium frame for a secure fit, and up to 10 hours of battery life with quick charge capability. They are also IP55 water-resistant, making them suitable for various activities.

Setup

1. Charging Your Headphones

Before first use, fully charge your OpenRun Pro headphones. Use the provided magnetic induction charging cable. Connect the magnetic end to the charging port on the headphones and the USB-A end to a compatible USB power source.

2. Powering On/Off

To power on, press and hold the Power/Volume+ button for 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and Audrey says "Welcome to Shokz."

To power off, press and hold the Power/Volume+ button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and Audrey says "Power off."

3. Pairing Your Headphones

  1. Start with the headphones powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power/Volume+ button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, and Audrey says "Pairing."
  3. Open your device's Bluetooth settings and select "OpenRun Pro by Shokz."
  4. Audrey will say "Connected" when pairing is successful.

Wearing Your Headphones

Place the transducers on your cheekbones, just in front of your ears. The band should rest comfortably behind your neck. Ensure the transducers are in full contact with your skin for optimal sound quality.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the headphones with a soft, damp cloth after each use, especially after workouts, to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the headphones in water.

Storage

Store your OpenRun Pro headphones in the provided hard shell carrying case when not in use to protect them from damage. Avoid storing them in extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.

Water Resistance

The OpenRun Pro headphones are IP55 water-resistant, meaning they are protected against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction. They are suitable for resisting sweat and light rain but should not be submerged in water or used for swimming.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Solution
Headphones won't turn on.Ensure the headphones are charged. Connect to the charging cable and check the LED indicator.
Cannot pair with device.Make sure headphones are in pairing mode (alternating red/blue LED). Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device. Try forgetting the device in your Bluetooth settings and re-pairing.
No sound or low volume.Increase volume on both headphones and connected device. Ensure transducers are properly placed on cheekbones. Check if headphones are connected to the correct device.
Poor call quality.Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Move closer to your connected device. Avoid noisy environments.
Bluetooth connection drops.Ensure your device is within the 33 feet (10 meter) Bluetooth range. Avoid obstacles between headphones and device.
