3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare your Waterdrop Alkaline Chubby Water Filter Pitcher for first use:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. You should find one pitcher system, one filter replacement (WD-PF-01A), and this user manual.
  2. Wash Pitcher Components: Wash the pitcher reservoir, lid, and filter housing with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not wash the filter cartridge with soap.
  3. Prepare the Filter: Submerge the new filter cartridge in cold water for 10-15 minutes to remove any air bubbles. This helps ensure proper water flow and filtration.
  4. Install the Filter: Insert the prepared filter firmly into the filter housing located inside the pitcher reservoir. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
  5. Initial Flushing: Fill the pitcher with tap water and allow it to filter through. Discard the first two full pitchers of filtered water. This primes the filter and removes any loose carbon particles.
  6. Set Filter Indicator: After installing a new filter, press and hold the button on the lid for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes. This resets the filter life record.
