5. Maintenance
5.1 General Care
- Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
- Keep the watch away from solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
5.2 Water Resistance (100 Meters)
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (10 BAR), making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. It is not suitable for diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Avoid operating the pushers or crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
5.3 Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a product-specific battery. When the battery runs low, the second hand may start moving in two-second intervals. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper sealing and functionality.
5.4 Leather Strap Care
The genuine leather strap can be affected by moisture, sweat, and direct sunlight. To prolong its life:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water. If it gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then air dry completely.
- Avoid bending or twisting the strap excessively.

6. Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running:
Possible Cause: Battery depleted or crown not fully pushed in.
Solution: Ensure the crown is pushed in. If not, the battery may need replacement. - Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero:
Possible Cause: Misalignment due to shock or magnetic interference.
Solution: Refer to the full Casio module manual (often available online by searching for the module number, typically found on the case back) for specific chronograph hand position adjustment procedures. This usually involves pulling the crown to a specific position and using the pushers to align the hands. - Date Changes at Noon:
Possible Cause: AM/PM setting was incorrect when the time was set.
Solution: Advance the time by 12 hours.
