1. Product Overview

The La Crosse Technology WS9130IT-S-MEG is a compact weather station designed to provide accurate indoor and outdoor temperature readings, along with a radio-controlled time display and weather forecast. This device is suitable for both wall mounting and tabletop placement, offering essential weather information for your home.

2. Setup Guide

2.1. Battery Installation

Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main weather station unit. Insert 2 x AA IEC LR3 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
Outdoor Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor. Insert 2 x AAA IEC LR3 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.

2.2. Initial Synchronization and Placement

Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation, to ensure accurate temperature readings. The maximum transmission distance is 100 meters in open field conditions.
Once batteries are installed in both units, the main station will automatically begin searching for the outdoor sensor signal and the DCF-77 radio signal for time synchronization. This process may take several minutes.
If the time does not synchronize automatically, ensure the DCF function is ON (refer to the Operating section for DCF ON/OFF setting).
For optimal reception, place the main unit away from electronic devices that may cause interference.

2.3. Time Zone Setting

After the DCF-77 signal is received, you may need to adjust the time zone. Use the SET button to enter time setting mode and the + button to adjust the time zone offset (+/- 12 hours) if your location is not in the Central European Time Zone.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Display Information

The main display shows the following information:

Time: Radio-controlled time (24-hour format).
Indoor Temperature: Current indoor temperature in °C, updated every 10 seconds.
Outdoor Temperature: Current outdoor temperature in °C.
Forecast: Weather trend indicated by 3 icons (e.g., sunny, cloudy, rainy).
MIN/MAX: Records of minimum and maximum indoor/outdoor temperatures.

3.2. Button Functions

SET: Press to enter time/date setting mode. Hold to confirm settings.
+: In setting mode, press to increase values. Outside setting mode, press to toggle DCF ON/OFF.
ALARM: Press to view or set the alarm time. Hold to activate/deactivate the alarm.
MIN/MAX: Press to view minimum and maximum temperature records. Press again to cycle through indoor min, indoor max, outdoor min, outdoor max.
RESET: Press to clear MIN/MAX records. Hold to reset the entire unit to factory defaults.

3.3. Setting the Alarm

Press the ALARM button once to display the current alarm time.
Hold the ALARM button until the hour digits flash. Use the + button to adjust the hour.
Press ALARM again, and the minute digits will flash. Use the + button to adjust the minutes.
Press ALARM to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
To activate or deactivate the alarm, press and hold the ALARM button briefly. An alarm icon will appear on the display when activated.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display for either the main unit or the outdoor sensor, replace the batteries promptly. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new ones of the same type.

4.2. Cleaning

Wipe the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic components and display.

4.3. Sensor Placement

Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains protected from direct weather elements and is within effective transmission range of the main unit. Obstructions like thick walls or metal structures can reduce signal strength.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
No outdoor temperature reading.	Outdoor sensor out of range. Batteries in sensor are low or depleted. Interference from other electronic devices.	Move sensor closer to the main unit. Replace sensor batteries. Relocate main unit or sensor away from interference sources. Press the RESET button on the main unit and then on the sensor to re-establish connection.
Incorrect time display.	DCF-77 signal not received. Incorrect time zone setting.	Ensure DCF is ON (use the + button). Place unit near a window for better signal reception. Manually adjust time zone using the SET and + buttons.
Display is dim or blank.	Main unit batteries are low or depleted.	Replace main unit batteries.
