BATTERIES: WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BATTERIES?

HARDWARE: SENSORS AND STATION

Your M76171 station comes with:

WHAT ARE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS STATION?

SET UP: HOW DO I SENT UP MY STATION?

  1. Insert 2-AAA batteries into your Outdoor Sensor.
  2. Insert the 5.0 volt USB power cord into an outlet, then into the side of your Weather Station. Optional: Insert 2-AAA batteries into your station.
  3. Adjust time and date settings on the station.
  4. Once the Outdoor Sensor is reading to your station, place it outside in a shaded location.

MOUNTING: WHERE DO I MOUNT/POSITION MY SENSOR?

WHERE TO I PLACE MY STATION?

Your station is designed for flexible placement on a desk or countertop.

TIME: DOES THIS STATION HAVE ATOMIC TIME?

No, Time and Date are manually set.

HOW DO I MANUALLY SET THE TIME?

  1. Press the SET/AL SET button so the word “TIME” shows in front of the time.
  2. With the word “TIME” showing, hold the SET/AL SET button to enter the main Settings Menu.
  3. Once the settings begin flashing, let go of the SET/AL SET button and use the ARROW buttons to adjust, and SET/AL SET to confirm or exit.

Settings Menu order:

Language: When another language is selected, the weekday and menu items will be presented in that language.

Weekday: Weekday sets automatically when Year, Month and Date are set.

HOW DO I SELECT FAHRENHEIT OR CELSIUS?

Press the °F/°C button to select Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature display.

WEEKDAY: HOW DO I CORRECT THE DAY OF THE WEEK?

The day of the week will set when the Year, Month, and Date are set. If your day of the week is incorrect, yet the month and date are correct, please go the program menu and check the YEAR setting.

DOES THIS STATION HAVE 12 HOUR AND 24 HOUR TIME OPTIONS?

Yes, you can select 12 hour or 24 hour time format in the program menu.

HOW DO I SET THE TIME ALARM?

Set Alarm:

  1. Press the SET/AL SET button so the word “ALARM” shows in front of the time.
  2. With the word “ALARM” showing, hold the SET/AL SET button to enter Alarm Settings.
  3. Use the ARROW buttons to adjust, and SET/AL SET to confirm and exit.

Alarm Menu order:

Activate/Deactivate Alarm:

Setting the alarm time and activating the alarm are separate actions.

  1. Press the SET/AL SET button so the word “ALARM” shows in front of the time.
  2. Use the ARROW buttons to turn the alarm ON or OFF. When the alarm is active the Alarm Icon will show.

Silence Alarm for 24-hours:

WHERE IS MY BAROMETRIC PRESSURE READING?

The Barometric Pressure on this station is in hPa (Hecto Pascal) only. The reading will show in place of the Time.

View Pressure:

Press the BARO button to view the Barometric Pressure in the time area.

Change Pressure Value:

  1. Hold the BARO button for 3 seconds to enter Barometric Pressure Settings.
  2. Use the ARROW buttons to adjust the value, then press the BARO button to save and exit.

FORECAST ICONS: WHAT DO THE FORECAST ICONS MEAN?

The forecast icons predict weather condition over the next 12-hours based on the change of atmospheric pressure with about 70-75% accuracy. As weather conditions cannot be 100% correctly forecasted, we are not responsible for any loss caused by an incorrect forecast.

Forecast Icons:

Note: As the Station builds memory, it will compare the current average pressure to the past forty day average pressure for increased accuracy. The longer the Station operates in one location the more accurate the forecast icons will be. Please allow 7-10 days for barometer calibration.

DOES THIS STATION HAVE A BACKLIGHT?

Power Cord:

Batteries Only: Press any button to activate the backlight for 8 seconds.

WHY DON'T THE TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY READINGS ON MY STATION MATCH THE WEATHER REPORT?

Your temperature and humidity readings are from your sensor at your location. Your local reporting station can be miles away so readings will differ.

WHY DOES MY OUTDOOR SENSOR SHOW DASHES?

WHY DOES MY TEMP/HUMIDITY READING COME AND GO?

CAN I CHANGE BATTERIES IN MY SENSORS WITHOUT LOSING DATA?

We designed this station for convenience, so that a simple change of batteries does not lose data or require you to power down your station.

HOW DO I VIEW MY MIN/MAX READINGS?

The MIN/MAX readings are all time values from when the station was first powered on or last reset.

  1. Press the MEM button to view indoor & outdoor MAX records.
  2. Press MEM again to view MIN records.

Reset Records:

  1. Press the MEM button to view records.
  2. Hold the MEM button to reset all Indoor and Outdoor records to current readings.

FACTORY RESET: HOW DO I FACTORY RESET MY STATION?

To factory reset your station press the RST button.
