Setup

1. Initial Test

Before proceeding with permanent installation on your motorcycle, it is highly recommended to perform an initial test of the system. This ensures all components are functioning correctly.

  1. Connect the wired controller, both cameras (front and rear), and the GPS connector to the main unit.
  2. Use the provided USB test cable and connect it to a 5V 2A charger or power bank.
  3. Power on the system. Verify that the main unit screen displays video from both cameras and that all functions appear normal.

2. Host Bracket Installation

Install the host bracket onto the main unit. This bracket will be used to mount the main unit securely on your motorcycle.

  1. Align the host bracket with the screw holes on the back of the main unit.
  2. Secure the bracket using the provided screws and hex wrench.

3. Wired Controller Bracket Installation

Attach the wired controller to your motorcycle's handlebars for easy access during riding.

  1. Apply the adhesive tape to the back of the wired controller.
  2. Secure the wired controller to the handlebar using the appropriate bracket components and screws.

4. Camera Bracket Installation

Mount the front and rear cameras using their respective brackets.

  1. Attach the camera bracket to each camera.
  2. Use the adhesive tape and screws to securely mount the cameras in desired positions (e.g., front fairing, rear fender).

5. Wiring Diagram & Power Connection

Properly connect the power module to your motorcycle's electrical system. This ensures continuous power and automatic operation.

  • The red wire from the power module connects to the positive electrode of the motorcycle battery.
  • The black wire connects to the negative electrode of the motorcycle battery.
  • The yellow wire connects to the 12V ACC port (key ignition). This connection enables automatic power on/off with your motorcycle.

6. GPS Tracker Installation (S2F & S2D Models Only)

For models with GPS functionality, install the GPS module in a suitable location.

  • Connect the GPS module to the main unit.
  • Place the GPS module in a location on your motorcycle that has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky for optimal signal reception. Avoid placing it under metal parts.

Operating Instructions

1. Automatic Power On/Off

The dash cam is designed for convenience. It will automatically start recording when your motorcycle's ignition is turned on and will power off once the bike is no longer in use, provided it's connected to the ACC port.

2. Video Recording & Loop Recording

The system continuously records video from both front and rear cameras. The loop recording function ensures that when the memory card reaches its capacity, the oldest files are automatically overwritten by new recordings, guaranteeing continuous operation without manual intervention.

3. Emergency Recording

  • G-Sensor Activation: The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When an event is detected, the current video file is locked and protected from being overwritten, preserving critical evidence.
  • Manual Activation: You can manually trigger emergency recording by pressing the 'OK' button on the wired remote control. This will lock the current video file.

4. Wi-Fi Connection & App Usage

Manage your recordings and settings wirelessly using the dedicated mobile application.

  1. Ensure the dash cam is powered on.
  2. On your smartphone, connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network.
  3. Open the 'WiFi Camera' app (available for iOS and Android).
  4. Through the app, you can seamlessly view live footage, playback recorded videos, configure device settings, download files to your phone, or share videos.

5. Riding Data Display (S2F & S2D Models Only)

For S2F and S2D models, the dash cam can display real-time riding data on its screen when connected with the dedicated GPS tracker and smart power cord.

  • Data includes: Speed, Altitude, Air pressure, Trip distance, and Battery Voltage.
  • This feature helps you monitor your bike's condition and riding metrics.

6. GPS Tracking (S2F & S2D Models Only)

S2F and S2D models, when equipped with the GPS tracker, automatically record your travel data.

  • The GPS tracker logs speed, coordinates, and route information for every journey.
  • You can review this footage and data using the dedicated GPS player software on a Windows OS computer.
  • Note: The GPS function is for tracking and indexing only; it does not provide navigation.

7. Parking Monitor (S2F & S2D Models Only)

For S2F and S2D models connected via the ACC power cable, the dash cam offers 24-hour parking monitoring.

  • When your bike is parked and the engine is off, the DVR automatically switches to Parking Mode.
  • It functions as a surveillance system, automatically recording 30-second videos upon detecting any bumps, vibrations, or physical movement (Impact Detection).

Maintenance

1. Waterproofing Guidelines

The VSYSTO dash cam system is designed to be highly resistant to water and dust.

  • Cameras have an IP67 waterproof rating.
  • The main unit and other accessories have an IP65 waterproof rating.
  • Important: Do NOT flush the main unit, lenses, power module, wired controller, and GPS tracker with a high-pressure water gun. This can damage the seals and internal components.

2. Memory Card Management

  • Use a high-quality Class 10 Micro SD/TF card with a maximum capacity of 256GB.
  • Regularly format the memory card (e.g., once a month) to prevent data corruption and ensure optimal recording performance. This can usually be done through the device settings or the mobile app.

3. Cleaning

  • To clean the screen and camera lenses, use a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • If necessary, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surfaces.

Troubleshooting

  • Recorder not powering on during initial test: Ensure all connections are secure and the USB test cable is connected to a stable 5V 2A power source. Check for any loose cables.
  • GPS not tracking (S2F/S2D only): Verify that the GPS module is securely connected and positioned in an open area on your motorcycle with a clear view of the sky. Remember that the GPS function is for data logging, not navigation.
  • Parking monitor not working (S2F/S2D only): Confirm that you have an S2F or S2D model and that the ACC power cable is correctly wired to your bike's battery and ACC port. The parking monitor relies on this specific power connection.
  • Video playback issues on computer: The dedicated GPS player software for reviewing detailed travel data is only compatible with Windows OS. Ensure you are using a Windows computer for playback.
  • Screen is blank or frozen: Try restarting the device by cycling the motorcycle's ignition. If the issue persists, check the power connections.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure camera lenses are clean and free from dirt or obstructions. Check that the cameras are securely mounted and not vibrating excessively.

User Tips

  • Memory Card: For optimal performance and to avoid recording issues, always use a high-quality Class 10 Micro SD/TF card. It is recommended to format the card regularly (e.g., monthly) through the dash cam's settings or the mobile app.
  • Wiring: Pay close attention to the power wiring diagram, especially the connection to the ACC port. This is crucial for features like automatic power on/off and parking monitoring (on S2F/S2D models). Incorrect wiring can prevent these features from working.
  • GPS Player: If you have an S2F or S2D model and wish to review detailed travel data including speed and route, remember that the dedicated GPS player software is only compatible with Windows OS.
  • Super Capacitor: The dash cam uses a super capacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery, offering enhanced safety, longer lifespan, and better performance in extreme temperatures.
