7. Troubleshooting
- Sensor Not Lighting Up / Not Connecting (Vortex): Ensure you have removed the clear insulating sheet from the battery compartment.
- Sensor Not Lighting Up / Not Connecting (X2 PRO): Ensure the chest strap is properly moistened and the main unit is correctly installed and detecting a heart rate.
- Cannot Switch Modes (Vortex): Mode switching (Speed/Cadence) must be done through the XOSS APP, not via the phone's standard Bluetooth settings.
- Inaccurate Heart Rate Readings (X2 PRO): Verify that the X2 PRO main unit is installed on the chest strap according to the L/R direction indicators and the XOSS logo is facing up. Ensure the sensing areas are moist and in good contact with your skin.
8. User Tips
- Dual Metrics (Vortex): To obtain both speed and cadence data simultaneously, you will need to install two separate XOSS Vortex sensors, one configured for speed and the other for cadence. Each sensor can only operate in one mode at a time.
- Tire Circumference (Vortex Speed Mode): Always set the correct tire circumference in the XOSS APP before using the sensor in speed mode for accurate readings.
- Battery Life (X2 PRO): To maximize battery longevity, avoid leaving the X2 PRO in a fully discharged state or constantly fully charged for extended periods.
- App Compatibility: The XOSS devices are compatible with a wide range of popular cycling and fitness apps. Explore these options to integrate your data seamlessly into your preferred ecosystem.
