Quick Start Guide
In association with St John Ambulance
Step 1: Prepare for Testing
Wash and dry hands thoroughly. Using warm water may help improve blood flow.
Step 2: Insert Test Strip
Insert a Kinetik Wellbeing BS-602 test strip into the strip port with the contact bars facing towards you. Ensure the device is off before inserting the test strip. The device will automatically turn on and be ready for testing once the test strip is inserted.
Step 3: Select Meal Marker
Press and release the Kinetik Wellbeing heart button to select the meal marker function. The default setting is 'no marker'.
Step 4: Prepare Lancing Device
Prepare the lancing device by inserting the lancet firmly into the lancing cup holder and setting the lancet level appropriately.
Step 5: Obtain Blood Sample
Hold the lancing device against the site to be lanced and press the release button to puncture. Squeeze the lanced site until a drop of blood forms. Wipe away the first blood drop, then squeeze until a second small blood drop forms.
Step 6: Apply Blood to Test Strip
Hold the device upside-down. Gently place the end of the test strip on the blood sample.
Step 7: View Results
Remove the lanced finger from the test strip when the 5-second countdown begins. The test result will appear on the meter after the countdown. Remove the used test strip. The meter will store the test result and automatically turn off.
