Shanling M0 Pro Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for operating your Shanling M0 Pro digital audio player.
Safety Instructions
- Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the device without authorization.
- Avoid using the device in extreme temperatures (hot, cold), dusty, or humid environments. Keep away from liquids.
- The device may become warm during charging, which is normal.
- Prevent the device from falling, friction, or impact against hard objects to avoid scratches, battery disconnection, data loss, or hardware damage. Avoid violent vibration or impact.
- Listen to music at a moderate volume to protect your hearing and the audio system. Lower the volume before plugging in headphones.
- Do not clean the device with chemicals or detergents, as this may damage the surface and coating.
- Do not disconnect the device during formatting or file transfer to prevent program errors.
- The USB port is for data transmission and charging only. Avoid using the device while charging.
- If the device is not used for extended periods, charge it regularly to maintain battery life.
- Replacing the battery improperly carries a risk of explosion; use only batteries of the same type or equivalent.
- Never expose the battery to sunlight, fire, or other extreme heat sources.
- When using a power adapter, ensure it is CCC certified and meets standard requirements.

Bottom View (with card access):
- Lift the card cover by pulling on the marked edge.
- Insert the Micro SD card in the indicated direction until it clicks. Press again to remove the card and close the cover.
Operation Instructions
Power ON / OFF / Screen Locking
- Power On: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until the screen lights up.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until the screen turns off.
- Screen Lock: While the device is on, short press the power button to lock the screen and turn off the display. Press again to unlock.
Volume Control
Turn the volume control wheel clockwise to increase volume and counterclockwise to decrease volume.
Touch Screen Operation
Control functions by sliding, clicking, or long pressing:
- Click: Navigate to the next menu or confirm selection.
- Right Slide: Swipe right to return to the previous menu.
- Long Press: In any interface, long press to return to the main menu.
Charging
It is recommended to use a DC5V/2A adapter for charging. The charging icon and battery level will be displayed on the screen when charging via USB cable.
Micro SD Card Port
- Supports standard Micro SD cards with a capacity up to 2TB.
- Open the card cover, insert the Micro SD card into the slot in the indicated direction, and press gently until it locks. Press again to remove the card.
Headphone Output Interface
The device features a 3.5mm headphone output. Standard single-ended headphones can be used directly. For balanced headphones, a separate adapter is required.
USB Port
1. Data Exchanging
- After booting, go to "System Settings" and select "USB Mode", then choose "USB".
- Connect to a computer to manage songs on the TF card.
- After disconnecting from the computer, go to "System Settings", select "Update My Music", and choose "Update Now" to display songs from the TF card in "My Music".
2. Digital Audio Signal Transmission
- After booting, go to "System Settings" and select "USB Mode", then choose "DAC".
- Install the USB driver on your computer before connecting the player (drivers are not needed for Mac computers).
- Select the appropriate audio output device on your computer.
USB Driver Download
Visit the download section on the official website www.shanling.com to download the latest USB drivers for your device.
Firmware Update
- Ensure the device is fully charged before updating the firmware to prevent failure.
- Do not operate the device during the update process.
Micro SD Card Update
- Download the firmware update file from the Shanling official website. Copy the latest firmware file to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
- Navigate to "System Settings" > "System Update" and select "Confirm" to proceed with the update.
Common Problems
- It is recommended to use a DC5V/2A adapter. Using an adapter with excessive voltage may damage the device.
- If the device fails to start, the battery may be low. Please charge it and try again.
- If the device is unresponsive or frozen, press and hold the power button for approximately 10 seconds to force a shutdown, then restart normally.
- If there is noise from the headphones, ensure the headphone jack is properly connected. Try re-inserting the plug.
- If there is no sound output, try using a different pair of headphones or cable and ensure the system volume is set correctly. Also, verify that the music files are not corrupted.
