Thank you for choosing the Maxcom FW59 Kiddo smartwatch. This device is designed to be your child's inseparable companion, offering both fun and safety. Attention: For the watch to function, an active 4G nanoSIM card with an internet data package is required. The nanoSIM card must be inserted before the watch is powered on.
Watch Components
The watch components are as follows (refer to diagram on page 2):
- 1. Rotary/menu button
- 2. Lock/SOS button
- 3. SIM slot
- 4. Camera
- 5. Charging port
SIM Card Insertion: Use a nanoSIM card. Insert it into the SIM slot (3) before powering on the device.
Charging the Watch
The watch is charged using the included cable. Connect the cable to a 5V USB charger. The magnetic end of the cable connects to the charging port (5) on the watch.
Connecting to Your Phone
To connect the watch to your smartphone, download and install the "Maxcom Tracker APP" from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The application requires registration to use.
Follow the application's instructions to connect the watch, which may involve scanning a REG CODE found on the watch itself or within its menu.
Troubleshooting Common Problems
Problem: Connection to the watch is lost. Settings cannot be changed or located.
- Ensure the nanoSIM card is correctly installed, supports 4G internet, and has an active data subscription.
- Check the GSM signal strength. If coverage icons are crossed out (❌), restart the watch.
- If signal icons remain crossed out, verify that data arrows appear. If not, APN configuration may be necessary.
APN Configuration via SMS:
Send an SMS to the watch's SIM card number with the following format:
pw,123456,apn,XXX,,,MCCMNC#
Note:
- 'MCCMNC' represents digits assigned to a specific mobile operator. Key operators in Poland include: 26001 (PLUS), 26002 (T-MOBILE), 26003 (ORANGE), 26006 (PLAY). Additional codes can be found at www.mcc-mnc.com.
- 'XXX' is the APN login for the specific operator. Examples: "internetipv6." or "internet" for ORANGE; "plus" for PLUS; "INTERNET" for PLAY.
Example SMS for T-Mobile network:
pw,123456,apn,internet,,,26002#
How to reset watch settings:
The watch can be reset via the Maxcom Tracker app. If connection issues persist, you can reset settings using SMS commands:
- Factory reset:
pw,123456,factory#
- Restart:
pw,123456,reset#
Important: Ensure SMS commands are entered precisely. Incorrect commands will not be processed. APN data download may take several minutes; do not power off the watch during this process.
