Safety Instructions
General Safety:
- Electric bikes are not permitted on public transport roads; observe local laws and policies when driving.
- Scooters are leisure products requiring practice. ENGWE is not responsible for injury or damage due to rider inexperience or failure to follow instructions.
- Before lending your scooter, ensure the borrower has read this manual, watched instructional videos, and received a beginner's guide. Ensure passenger safety and basic operation proficiency.
- Always ensure new riders wear helmets and other protective equipment.
- Following manual tips and warnings reduces, but does not eliminate, risks. Risks include injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls.
- Scooters are suitable for hard surfaces. Use in relatively enclosed road environments (e.g., small areas, parks, dedicated fields) and avoid obstacles and contact points. Slow down in unfamiliar environments.
- Read and follow all 'Caution' and 'Warning' notices. Do not exceed speed limits or ride on motorways.
- For the first ride, avoid areas with children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles, or bicycles.
- Respect pedestrians. Avoid frightening them, especially the elderly, children, disabled, or pregnant women. Alert pedestrians when approaching from behind and slow down when overtaking. Obey local traffic laws.
- In regions without electric scooter laws, strictly adhere to the safety requirements in this manual. ENGWE is not liable for property damage, personal injury, accidents, or legal disputes arising from user violations.
Specific Safety Precautions:
- Unsuitable Riders: Individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs, those unable to perform strenuous exercise due to illness, those with balance issues, or those exceeding the weight limit (refer to specifications). Pregnant women are also advised against use.
- Supervision: Minors must be supervised by adults.
- Local Laws: Observe local laws and regulations. Do not ride in prohibited areas.
- Visibility: Ensure you can see the area ahead and be seen by others.
- Weather Conditions: Do not ride in snow, rain, slippery, muddy, or icy weather.
- Obstacles: Do not ride over obstacles (sand, rocks, barricades) as this can cause loss of balance or grip, leading to falls.
- Water Damage: Damage and losses caused by water ingress are not covered by the warranty.
- Night Riding: Do not drive at night.
- Acceleration/Deceleration: Do not accelerate or decelerate suddenly. Do not exceed the speed limit to avoid loss of control, collision, and falls.
Pre-Ride Checks: Before riding, check for loose fasteners or damaged parts. If the scooter makes unusual noises, stop use immediately and consult your point of purchase or the manufacturer.
Riding Surface: Observe the road surface, avoid obstacles, and ensure level ground (avoid wet ground, loose sand, rocky ground, ice).
Weight Limit: Suitable for ages 14-60 and weights up to 120kg (264lbs).
Charging Safety: Do not charge if the charging port, charger, or power outlet is wet. Use only the original ENGWE charger. Do not modify the scooter.
Parking: Park on a flat, firm surface. If parking on a slope, the stand must face downhill to prevent tipping. Do not allow the scooter to rush downhill. Check stability after lowering the kickstand. Avoid busy areas; park against a wall on a flat road.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance is recommended for a better driving experience.
Charging Manual: Please read the user manual before charging.
Brake Parts: Do not touch brake parts as this may cause injury.
