ENGWE S6 Electric Scooter User Manual
Safety Instructions
The ENGWE Electric Scooter S6 is designed for personal urban transportation and carries inherent safety risks common to all modes of transport. It is a recreational product, and users must master riding skills before use. ENGWE is not responsible for injuries or damage due to rider inexperience or failure to follow instructions.
Key Safety Guidelines:
- User Suitability: Recommended for users aged 14-60 years old, weighing less than 120kg. Not suitable for individuals affected by alcohol or drugs, those with illnesses preventing vigorous activity, those with balance issues, pregnant women, or exceeding the weight limit.
- Supervision: Children must ride under adult supervision. Ensure new riders have read the manual, watched instructional videos, and received novice instruction. Always ensure new riders wear helmets and protective gear.
- Riding Environment: For safe riding, use on hard, paved surfaces. Recommended environments include communities, parks, or special venues. Avoid places with obstacles and contacts. Slow down in unfamiliar environments.
- Risk Awareness: Following tips and warnings reduces risks but cannot eliminate them. Be aware of potential injury or death from loss of control, collisions, or falls.
- Speed and Location: Do not over-speed or ride on motorways. Do not ride in areas prohibited by local law.
- Visibility: Ensure you can see ahead and be seen by others.
- Weather and Surface Conditions: Do not ride in snow, rain, slippery, muddy, or icy conditions. Avoid obstacles like sand, stones, or roadblocks that can cause loss of balance.
- Water Damage: Damages due to water ingress are not covered by warranty.
- Night Riding: Avoid riding at night.
- Acceleration/Deceleration: Do not suddenly accelerate or decelerate. Do not exceed speed limits to avoid runaway, collision, or falling.
- Pedestrian Interaction: Respect pedestrians, especially the elderly, children, disabled, and pregnant women. Remind pedestrians when approaching from behind and slow down. Abide by local traffic laws.
- Pre-Ride Checks: Before riding, check for loose fasteners and damaged parts. If abnormal noise or alarms occur, stop using and consult support.
- Road Surface: Observe the road surface, avoid obstacles, and smooth ground (avoid wet ground, loose sand, stone ground, etc.).
- Legal Compliance: Be aware of and strictly comply with all local laws, regulations, and policies regarding electric scooters in your area.
- Modifications: Do not modify the scooter or use unauthorized parts, as this may affect operation, cause injury, and void the warranty.
- Children and Parts: Children should not use scooters or play with parts.
- Parking: Park on flat, solid ground. If parking on a slope, the kickstand must face downhill. Avoid parking in busy areas. Park near a wall if possible.
- Maintenance: Regular maintenance is recommended for a better driving experience.
- Charging: Read the user manual before charging. Do not touch brake parts.
- Abnormalities: If the scooter body is unstable or shows signs of loosening/damage, stop riding and contact after-sales support.

Charging
Charging Steps: Open the charging port cover, plug in the charger, and close the cover after charging.
Warning: Do not charge if the charging port, charger, or power outlet is wet. Always use original ENGWE chargers.
Charger Specifications:
- Input Voltage: 180-240V AC
- Output Voltage: 54.6V
- Output Current: 3A
- Charging Time: ~6h
- Charging Temperature: 0°C~40°C
Note: Ensure the charging port cover is closed when not charging. If the battery is damaged or has been in contact with water, do not charge or use it.
Folding and Carrying
The scooter can be folded for easier transport and storage.
Dimensions:
- Unfolded: 1155mm x 600mm x 1160mm
- Folded: 1155mm x 250mm x 525mm
To fold the scooter, typically one would release a locking mechanism near the handlebar stem, lower the stem, and secure it to the rear fender or deck. To unfold, reverse the process.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Use a soft, wet cloth to wipe the mainframe. For stubborn dirt, use a toothbrush with toothpaste, then clean with a soft, wet cloth.
Warning: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive/volatile solvents. Do not use a pressure water-gun or water pipe. Ensure the scooter is powered off, the charger is unplugged, and the charging port cover is fastened before cleaning.
Storage
When not in use, store the scooter in a bright and dry place. Avoid parking it outdoors, as sun exposure or extreme temperatures can accelerate aging of plastic parts and reduce battery life.
Battery Dis-assembly and Maintenance
Warning: Do not use unauthorized third-party batteries. Do not store or charge the battery outside the stated temperature limits. Avoid touching battery contacts, dis-assembling, or piercing the battery. Prevent short circuits caused by metal objects touching battery contacts.
Critical Warning: Do not put the battery into fire, as it may cause failure, overheating, or fire. Do not charge or use a damaged battery or one that has been in contact with water. Do not attempt to dis-assemble the battery yourself due to fire risk.
Improper disposal of used batteries can seriously pollute the environment; comply with local regulations.
Battery Performance Note: The battery performs best at indoor temperatures around 22°C. Performance and range may degrade at temperatures below 0°C (e.g., range is halved at -20°C). Range recovers as temperature rises. A fully charged battery typically retains power for 120-180 days; a low-power battery for 30-60 days. Recharge the battery after each use. Complete draining can cause permanent damage. Damage from over-charging or under-charging, as recorded by internal electronics, is not covered by the Limited Warranty.
