Product Description

The LOP-400 is a 400W highly reliable green PCB type low profile power supply with a high power density (24.6W/in³) on the 5" by 3" footprint. It accepts 80~264VAC input and offers various output voltages between 12V and 54V. The working efficiency is up to 95% and the extremely low no load power consumption is down below 0.5W.

The LOP-400 is suitable for both Class I (with FG) and Class II (no FG) system designs. It complies with international safety regulations such as IEC/BS EN/EN/UL62368-1, IEC/BS EN/EN60335-1, IEC/BS EN/EN61558-1/-2-16, IEC/BS EN/EN60601-1. It serves as a high price-to-performance power supply solution for various industrial applications. The extremely low leakage current is less than 500 μA. Additionally, it conforms to international medical regulations (2*MOPP) and EMC BS EN/EN55011, making it ideal for BF rated “patient contact" medical system equipment.

Diagrams and Curves

Block Diagram

The block diagram illustrates the power supply's architecture. It shows the input stage with EMI Filter, Rectifiers & PFC, followed by Power Switching controlled by PWM Control. The output stage includes Rectifiers & Filter. Control functions like Overload Protection (OLP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), and a Detection Circuit are integrated. An optional Power Good/Power Fail (PG/PF) signal is available, along with a +12V FAN supply.

Derating Curve (Load vs. Ambient Temperature)

This curve shows the maximum output load capacity based on ambient temperature. For free air convection cooling, the maximum output power is 250W. For force-cooled operation with an external fan (23CFM), the maximum output power is 400W. Both convection modes show a decrease in load capacity as the ambient temperature rises from 0°C to 80°C. The 115VAC convection curve is lower than the 230VAC convection curve.

Output Derating VS Input Voltage

This graph indicates that the power supply maintains its rated output power (up to 100% load) across a wide input voltage range, from approximately 100VAC to 264VAC at 60Hz. Below 100VAC, the output derating begins.

Notes on Installation

  • Class I System: Mounting holes marked with [earth symbol] must be connected to safety earth.
  • Class II System: Connection to safety earth is unnecessary.
  • HS1, HS2, HS3, HS4 must not be shorted.
