PRO MIXER DX626 Controls
The PRO MIXER DX626 offers a range of intuitive controls for professional DJing:
- (1) MIC INPUT: Balanced XLR connector for your dynamic microphone.
- (2) GAIN Control: Adjusts the input signal level for each channel.
- (3) 3-Band Equalizer (HIGH, MID, LOW): Features kill characteristics for significant signal reduction (-32 dB) or boost (+12 dB).
- (4) MIC/LINE-PHONO Switch (Channel 1): Selects between microphone, line, or phono signal for Channel 1. The rear PHONO/LINE switch (21) determines the specific line/phono setting.
- (5) PHONO/LINE Switch (Channels 2 & 3): Selects between Phono (for turntables) and Line (for other sources like CD/MD players) input signals.
- (6) CHANNEL Fader: Adjusts the volume for each individual channel.
- (7) TALKOVER Function: Pressing the TALK button lowers the signal of other input channels, allowing your voice from the microphone to be heard more clearly.
- (8) MASTER Control: Sets the overall output volume for the MASTER output.
- (9) BALANCE Control: Adjusts the stereo image of the MASTER output.
- (10) BOOTH Control: Sets the output volume for the BOOTH output, typically for monitor speakers.
- (11) CUE Control: Adjusts the volume of the headphone signal (PFL signal).
- (12) CH-1, CH-2, CH-3 Buttons: Select the signal source for headphone monitoring (PFL). Allows previewing individual channels or all three simultaneously.
- (13) MASTER/CUE Fader: Controls the volume ratio between input channel signals and the MASTER signal in the headphones.
- (14) LED Displays: Three 10-character LED displays show PFL (lower chain) and MASTER (upper chains) signal levels.
- (15) BPM Counter: Calculates and displays the tempo (Beats Per Minute) for channels 2 and 3, aiding in smooth track transitions.
- (16) CROSSFADER: Allows smooth crossfading between channels 2 and 3.
- (17) Lamp Connector: Standard 12V BNC connector for an external lamp ?.
- (18) POWER Button: Turns the DX626 on and off.
- (19) HEADPHONES Connector: For connecting headphones ? for PFL monitoring. Minimum impedance of 32 ohms recommended.
- (20) INPUT 1: Channel 1 input, switchable between Phono and Line sensitivity.
- (21) PHONO/LINE Switch (Channel 1): Selects Line or Phono input for Channel 1. Ensure the front MIC/LINE-PHONO switch (4) is set to LINE-PHONO.
- (22) PHONO Inputs (Channels 2 & 3): Dedicated inputs for connecting turntables.
- (23) LINE Inputs (Channels 2 & 3): Inputs for connecting line-level sources like tape decks, CD players, or MD players.
- (24) GND Connectors: Ground terminals for turntables ?.
- (25) TAPE Output: Fixed-level output for connecting to recording devices (tape decks, DAT recorders, etc.). Input level must be adjusted on the recording device.
- (26) BOOTH Output: Provides an additional output for an amplifier, controlled by the BOOTH knob. Ideal for monitor speakers or a second zone.
- (27) MASTER Output: Main audio output for connecting to an amplifier, controlled by the MASTER knob.
- (28) Power Connector: Connection for the AC power cable.
- (29) FUSE HOLDER / VOLTAGE SETTING: For fuse replacement and voltage selection.
- (30) SERIAL NUMBER: Unique identifier for the unit.
