Minelab F3 UXO Coil Change Instructions

Part 1: Removing the Small Coil

Prepare a clean workspace.
Remove the Battery Pack and Endcap from the F3 Detector.
Remove the six screws holding the Bulkhead cover.
Unplug the Wiring Loom.
Remove two upper screws from the electronics housing.
Slide the Electronics Pack rearwards.
Unscrew the Coil Connector.
Remove the Retainer Plug.
Remove the Coil Retainer.
Pull the coil cable out of the detector shafts.

Part 2: Connecting the UXO Coil

Fit the Coil mounting adapter yoke.
Thread the new coil cable through the detector shafts. A piece of string can be used to assist.
Mount the coil to the shaft.
Fit the Coil Cable Pin.
Connect the Coil cable and fit the retainer plug.
Slide the Electronics Pack back into place, reinserting two screws.
Carefully connect the Wiring Loom.
Replace the cover and insert the six screws.
Connect the Endcap and Battery Pack.
Check and test the F3 UXO Detector.
