Model Variations

F3 Detector

The foundational F3 model, incorporating Minelab's advanced Multi Period Sensing and BiPolar technologies for effective metal detection.

F3L (Light Emitting Diodes)

The F3L is a modified F3, featuring an LED display and volume controls conveniently located on the top of the handle assembly.

F3S & F3LS (Sensitivity Adjustment)

The F3S and F3LS are advanced configurations of the F3 and F3L detectors. The 'S' configuration allows users to customise detector sensitivity via a laptop computer using Minelab-supplied software. This feature is advantageous for maximising detector performance in specific ground conditions, against particular mine threats, and within areas of electromagnetic interference. Customised sensitivity is only functional when using a dedicated Yellow Endcap.

F3UXO Detector

The F3UXO is an F3 detector (available in F3, F3L, or F3LS configurations) fitted with a 450mm coil, specifically designed for UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) detection and battle area clearance operations.

Sensitivity Endcaps

Sensitivity Endcaps allow for quick adjustment of the detector's sensitivity to suit different targets and conditions.

  • Black Endcap: Provides maximum sensitivity for the detection of minimum metal mines.
  • Red Endcap: Offers minimum sensitivity, ideal for detecting large or UXO targets.
  • Yellow Endcap: Enables customised sensitivity settings for specific applications, typically used with F3S/F3LS models.

Intelligent Multi Charger (IMC)

The Intelligent Multi Charger (IMC) is a robust and intelligent fast-charging device designed to charge 'C', 'D', 'AAA', and 'AA' cell rechargeable batteries. It features a user-initiated conditioning (discharge before charge) facility for battery cycling. The IMC is designed for global portability, operating from a wide range of power sources (100 V to 240 V AC mains and generator supplies) without requiring user intervention.
