Minelab F3 UXO Detector Field Guide
Brand: MINELAB
Operation
1. Switch On
Turn the detector on. The process involves holding the detector, then showing the coil, followed by a timer indicating 12 seconds.
Visuals show a person holding the detector, the detector coil, and a clock graphic indicating 12 seconds.
Duration: 12 seconds
Reach: 60 cm (24")
2. Ground Balance
Perform ground balancing. This involves moving the detector coil close to the ground and then holding it up, accompanied by a waveform display.
Visuals depict a person with the detector, the coil near the ground (15 cm / 6" height), and a waveform.
Height: 15 cm (6")
3. Test Piece
Test the detector using a test piece. The diagram shows a correct (green checkmark) and incorrect (red cross) method of testing.
Visuals show a person testing with the detector coil and diagrams illustrating correct (green checkmark) and incorrect (red cross) test procedures.
4. Audio Reset
Reset the audio output. This is represented by a person holding the detector and a waveform.
Visuals show a person with the detector and a waveform.
5. Noise Cancel
Engage the noise cancel feature. This involves holding the detector near potential interference sources, then placing the coil on the ground, and a timer indicating 45 seconds.
Visuals show a person near power lines, the detector coil on the ground, a clock graphic indicating 45 seconds, and a waveform.
Duration: 45 seconds
