2. Preparing Your Omni C20
2.1 Important Tips Before First Use
- A. Remove power cords and small objects (socks/toys/slippers/towels/weighing scales, etc.) from the floor that may entangle the robot.
- B. Fold tasseled edges of rugs underneath to prevent tangling the robot. Avoid cleaning high-pile rugs or rugs thicker than 0.98 in / 25 mm as they may cause the robot to malfunction.
- C. Before mapping, it is strongly recommended to place physical barriers in front of fireplaces and certain areas (i.e. air vents) that may cause damage to the robot if entered. For future use, set up virtual boundaries in the eufy app to prevent the robot from falling down staircases.
- D. Avoid vacuuming large amounts of water as it may damage the device.
- E. The robot may climb on top of objects less than 0.7 in / 18 mm in height. Remove these objects if possible.
- F. Anti-drop sensors will prevent the robot from tumbling down stairs and steep drops in most cases. Sensors are less effective if dirty or used on carpeted / reflective floors.
2.2 Install the All-in-One Station
1. Place the station against a wall on a hard, level surface in a location with strong Wi-Fi signal and easy robot access. Recommended clearances are 1.6 ft / 0.5 m on both sides and 4.9 ft / 1.5 m in front. Do not place the station on carpets.
2. Plug the station into a wall outlet. The LED ring in the clean water tank will light up red when the station connects to AC power, indicating the tank needs filling.
Always keep the station plugged in to ensure successful infrared connection for automatic robot return.
2.3 Charge Your Robot
1. Remove foam blocks, stickers, and protective films from the robot before use.
2. Attach the robot to the base station. The robot will automatically power on.
Ensure the robot is fully charged before use. A voice prompt will confirm successful docking and charging.
3. Using Your Omni C20
Note: UI images are for illustration purposes only; actual content may vary by software version. Control your robot via the eufy app for full features.
Before you start, ensure:
- Your smartphone runs iOS 11.0+ or Android 8.0+.
- A 2.4GHz band wireless signal is enabled on your router.
3.1 Download the App
- Download the eufy app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or by clicking this link.
- Open the app and create a user account.
- Tap the "Add Device" / "+" icon to add your robot to your eufy account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to set up the Wi-Fi connection.
After successful connection, you can control the robot via the app to select cleaning modes, suction power, schedule cleaning, view status, receive notifications, and access additional features. If the robot gets stuck, use the "Find My Robot" feature in the app.
3.2 Reset the Wi-Fi Connection
If you encounter issues connecting to the eufy app, reset the Wi-Fi connection by pressing and holding the power and recharge buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until a voice prompt is heard. The robot's LED indicator will flash white, and you can then follow in-app instructions to reset the connection.
3.3 Mapping
This feature helps the robot efficiently learn your home layout for systematic cleaning. Create a detailed floor plan for precise navigation.
To maximize mapping efficiency and accuracy:
- Open All Doors: Ensure all doors within the cleaning area are open for seamless room access and mapping.
- Block Off Restricted Areas: Use physical barriers for zones you don't want the robot to enter, enhancing mapping accuracy and preventing entry into unwanted spaces. You can later set up virtual boundaries in the app.
- Remove Obstacles: Clear objects like toys, cables, or small furniture that might obstruct the robot's path or tangle its brushes.
- Do Not Move the Base Station: Once the floor plan is created, avoid relocating the base station, as it serves as a reference point for navigation and mapping.
3.4 Set Up No-Go Zone and No Mop Zone
Use the eufy app to define "No-Go Zones" or "No Mop Zones" as restricted areas, eliminating the need for physical barriers. This feature is for dividing cleaning zones, not for isolating hazardous areas.
3.5 Schedule Cleaning
Schedule the robot to start cleaning at a specific time using the eufy app. You can customize cleaning schedules from Sunday to Saturday within the app.
3.6 Select a Cleaning Mode
3.6.1 Home Cleaning Mode
Tap "Start" in the eufy app to enable Home Cleaning mode. The robot starts from the base station, determines its route, cleans edges first, then uses a Z-shaped pattern for comprehensive coverage. It returns to the base station for recharging upon completion.
To pause cleaning, press the power button on the robot.
3.6.2 Room Cleaning
Your house is automatically divided into rooms in the eufy app. You can customize room settings and select specific rooms for the robot to clean. The robot returns to the Omni Station after cleaning the selected rooms.
Enable Room Cleaning mode only after the robot has created a map. It is recommended to start room cleaning from the Omni Station.
3.6.3 Zone Cleaning
Set up a cleaning zone and customize its size in the eufy app. The robot will clean only the selected zone.
3.7 Select a Suction Power Level
Choose from Quiet, Standard (Default), Turbo, and Max suction power levels in the eufy app. The robot will use the selected level for subsequent cleanings.
For homes with pets or children, a higher suction power level is recommended.
The BoostIQ™ feature can be enabled in the app. The robot automatically activates BoostIQ™ on carpets for optimal cleaning. BoostIQ™ is ideal for thicker carpets. You can disable this feature if the vacuuming noise is disruptive.
4. Using the Mopping System
Start cleaning, and the robot will automatically vacuum and mop. You can select between two water levels via the eufy app during mopping. "Vacuum Only" and "Mop Only" modes are also available in the app.
Regularly empty and clean the dirty water tank to prevent mildew or unpleasant smells. Refer to the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section for detailed instructions.
5. Using the Robot with Amazon Alexa / The Google Assistant
Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant enable voice control for your robot.
Before you start, ensure:
- The robot is attached to the base station for sufficient power.
- The robot is connected to the eufy app.
- You have an Amazon Alexa-enabled device (e.g., Echo, Echo Dot) or a Google Assistant-enabled device (e.g., Google Home, Google Home Mini). These devices are sold separately.
- The Amazon Alexa or Google Home app is installed on your smart device, and you have an account.
To control the robot:
- Open the eufy app and tap Profile > Smart Integrations.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
6. Enabling / Disabling Child Safety Lock
Press and hold the recharge button for 3 seconds to activate the child safety lock. Once enabled, all buttons are locked to prevent accidental operation by children.
To disable the child safety lock, press and hold the recharge button for 3 seconds again. This function is also available in the eufy app.

Network Configuration Instructions
The device is configured via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) by default using the mobile app. If BLE configuration fails, an AP (Access Point) configuration method is available.
1. BLE Configuration
Trigger Condition: Press the device's reset button to enable Bluetooth network configuration mode. Status Description: When not connected to a network, the device broadcasts via BLE for configuration.
2. AP Configuration
Trigger Condition: Press the device's reset button to enter the AP configuration window period, which lasts for 30 minutes. Behavior During Window: The device broadcasts an open AP hotspot (SSID and password change after the window). It listens for network configuration requests on TCP port 9668, broadcasts via UDP port 9667 for discovery, and uses UDP port 68 for DHCP responses.
3. Changes After Configuration Window Ends
The AP hotspot's SSID and password will change. Devices connected to this AP will be disconnected.
Note: Ensure a stable network environment during configuration. If issues arise, press the reset button again to open a new configuration window.
