6. Installation and Preparation before first time use

  1. Before use, carefully check if the appliance is without damage. Contact your supplier if you find damage or problem, and don't use the appliance.
  2. Remove all packaging and protective material.
  3. Place the appliance on a stable and level platform.
  4. Leave sufficient space around the appliance for ventilation.
  5. Place the filter paper on the filter holder of the appliance with coffee powder.
  6. Please note the programmes in automatic mode must always run to the end in a jug, otherwise there is a risk of overflowing in automatic mode. In manual mode there is always a risk of overflowing. The jug must not be left unattended in manual mode until the programme has stopped.
  7. Connect the power plug to power socket.
  8. Connect the water hose to the appliance and the water tap.
  9. Press the ON/OFF switch button, Select Automatic or Manual Mode.
  10. After a while, hot coffee will start dripping into the decanter.
  11. Press the ON/OFF switch button again to turn off the appliance.
  12. When you pick up the decanter, remember to hold its handle carefully, and avoid touching the warming plate.

? NOTE: Capacity of the water reservoir is 1.8 L. Please avoid it to be overflow.

7. Operation

Steps of Operation

  1. Place the appliance on a plane and stable platform.
  2. Make sure the empty decanter is ready underneath the filter holder before brewing.
  3. Make sure the power cord has been connected to the appliance as well as to the Mains power source.
  4. Press the ON/OFF switch button at the back of the appliance to switch on the appliance. The LCD will display the following screen to let the user choose between manual or automatic operation.

  5. Make sure the water hose has been connected to the water tap and to the water inlet of the appliance.

Manual Operation Mode

Please press the "Manual Mode" button to enter into the Manual Operation Mode. The LCD will display the following screen with 5 buttons.

  1. Press the following button ♨️ to switch ON the upper warming plate. Press this button again to switch OFF the upper warming plate.
  2. Press the following button ♨️ to switch ON the lower warming plate. Press this button again to switch OFF the lower warming plate.
  3. Pour water into the water tank and the machine will start brewing automatically. The small triangle at the lower right hand corner of the button will be changed to the pause sign ⏸️ as below.

  4. If there is no water entering into the appliance and insufficient for brewing happens, the following warning signal will appear on the screen: "Please check water source".

  5. If the brewing process is paused, the small triangle at the lower right hand corner of the button will reappear, and you can continue the brewing process by pressing this button again.
  6. You can press the return button ↩️ to go back to the previous screen. The brewing process will be paused. Please do not enter auto mode after returning to the main page, as overflow risk will occur.
  7. You can press the switch button on the screen to turn the appliance OFF (strictly speaking, it is to have the appliance entering into the standby mode). After pressing this switch button, all functions are canceled, and the screen will be changed into black. But you can reactivate the appliance (or screen) by pressing any position on the LCD display.

Warming: Pour cold water only. NO hot water, coffee power or coffee bean. Pour water as the coffee you need/ Maximum one decanter (1.8L/12 Cups) water each time. In case of overflow, do not pour water more than one decanter. Can not use autofill water.

Automatic Operation Mode

  1. If you press the Auto operation button in step 4, you will enter into the automatic operation mode. The LCD will display 5 buttons as follows.

  2. Press the following button ♨️ to switch ON the upper warming plate. Press this button again to switch OFF the upper warming plate.
  3. Press the following button ♨️ to switch ON the lower warming plate. Press this button again to switch OFF the lower warming plate.
  4. You can press the switch button on the screen to turn the appliance OFF (strictly speaking, it is to have the appliance entering into the standby mode). After pressing this switch button, all functions are canceled, and the screen will be changed into black. But you can reactivate the appliance (or screen) by pressing any position on the LCD display.
  5. Water will enter into the appliance automatically.
  6. You can choose between brewing half decanter (6 cups) or full decanter (12 cups) by the following two buttons.

  7. After pressing either of the above buttons, the following screen will appear which shows the brewing process in progress.

  8. The pause button ⏸️ at the lower right corner allows you to pause the brewing process in case of emergency.
  9. If the brewing process is paused, you can reactivate it by pressing the button once again.
  10. If there is no water entering into the appliance and insufficient for brewing happens, the following warning signal will appear on the screen: "Please check water source". In this case, please check the water hose and water supply before resume the operation. After checking water source, press return button ↩️ to re-enter brewing process.

? NOTE: If the appliance has not been used for a relatively long time, clean the appliance again by the step - as described in the previous section before use it.

⚠️ There is an overflow prevent tube underneath the appliance if the water reservoir is overflow.

There may still be some water inside the appliance even if the water reservoir has been empty, thus please clean the appliance whenever the appliance before use if it has been left unused for a certain period of time.

Make sure the water hose has been connected to the water tap and the water inlet of the appliance.

The Auto mode cannot use water poured from the top of the machine.

8. Maintenance

Cleaning

Discaling

When the appliance has been using for a certain period of time, water scale will build up and accumulated on the heating element and the path of the waterflow. You should clean up the water scale regularly to ensure the appliance can be operated at the optimum condition as well as to keep the taste and flavour of the coffee.

Steps of descaling:

  1. Use de-scaling agent, lemon juice or cleaning vinegar for descaling.
  2. If you use lemon juice or cleaning vinegar, please mix 1/3 of lemon juice or cleaning vinegar with 2/3 of water.
  3. Put the filter funnel on the holder of the appliance.
  4. Put an empty decanter under the filter funnel.
  5. Pour the de-scaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution into the water reservoir.
  6. Switch ON the appliance.
  7. When the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution starts to pass through the appliance, switch the appliance OFF.
  8. Leave the appliance for about 5 minutes to let the de-scaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution dissolve the water scale in the appliance.
  9. Switch ON the appliance again to release out the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution.
  10. After all the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution has been released out, switch OFF the appliance again.
  11. Put clean water into the water reservoir and repeat these procedures until there is no more odour and taste in the water.

Regular maintenance: To ensure the appliance can always be operating in the best state, clean the appliance and do descaling regularly. How frequently to do maintenance depends how heavily you use the appliance.

9. Trouble shooting
