Product Overview

The JBC TES/JTS stand is designed to hold the TET/JTT Heater Hose Set, providing a stable and organized workspace for soldering and rework operations. It is compatible with JBC's TE-SF (for TE Precision Heater Hose Set) and JT-SF (for JT Heater Hose Set) references.

Packing List

One of the following stands is included based on the purchased reference:

  • Stand for TET Precision Heater Hose Set: 1 unit
  • Stand for JTT Heater Hose Set: 1 unit

Manual: 1 unit (Ref. 0027184)

Features and Connections

The stand incorporates several features to enhance usability:

  • Adjustable Tool Holder: Allows the user to position the tool at an optimal angle for their work.
  • Nozzle Changer: Facilitates the easy exchange of soldering nozzles.
  • Nozzle Storage: Provides a dedicated space to rest the nozzle when not in use.
  • Connection: The stand connects to the main control unit via a cable.

Visual Description: The stand is a black, compact unit. It features a robust, adjustable clamp mechanism for holding the tool handle. To the side, there is a slot designed to securely store a soldering nozzle. A connection port is visible on the rear for interfacing with the control unit.

Assembly

The tool holder angle can be adjusted to suit your specific work position.

Visual Description: An illustration shows the adjustable tool holder, demonstrating how its angle can be pivoted and secured to match the user's preferred working posture.

Nozzle Extractor

The stand includes a nozzle extractor function for safe and efficient nozzle replacement.

To Remove a Nozzle:

  1. Place the heating element with the assembled nozzle into the nozzle changer.
  2. Pull the tool to remove the nozzle. The nozzle will then rest securely in the nozzle storage slot.

To Attach a Nozzle:

  1. Align the nozzle with the heating element.
  2. Press the nozzle onto the heating element using the opening provided in the nozzle changer.

Visual Description: Two diagrams illustrate the nozzle extraction process. The first shows the heating element and nozzle being placed into the nozzle changer. The second shows the tool being pulled to detach the nozzle, which then settles into the storage area. A third diagram shows a nozzle being pressed onto the heating element via the changer.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the stand.

  • Before performing any maintenance or storage, always unplug the stand from the station.
  • Clean the stand using a damp cloth. Alcohol may be used exclusively for cleaning metal parts.
  • Periodically check that the metal parts of the tool and stand are clean to ensure proper tool status detection by the station.
  • Regularly inspect all cables for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Replace any defective or damaged parts with original JBC spare parts only.
  • Repairs should only be carried out by JBC authorized technical service personnel.

Visual Description: An image of the stand highlights the tool holder area with a text label indicating "Clean periodically".

Safety

It is imperative to follow safety guidelines to prevent electric shock, injury, fire, or explosion.

  • Use the stands solely for their intended purpose: soldering or rework.
  • Ensure the power cord is plugged into approved bases and is properly grounded before use. Always hold the plug, not the wire, when unplugging.
  • Never work on electrically live parts.
  • When the tool is not in use, place it in the stand to activate sleep mode. Be aware that the soldering tip, the metal part of the tool, and the stand may remain hot even when the station is turned off. Handle with care, especially when adjusting the stand position.
  • Avoid contact of flux with skin or eyes to prevent irritation.
  • Be cautious of fumes produced during soldering.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workplace. Wear appropriate protective glasses and gloves to avoid personal harm.
  • Exercise extreme care with liquid tin waste, as it can cause burns.
  • This appliance may be used by children aged eight and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, provided they receive adequate supervision or instruction regarding its use and understand the associated hazards. Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Maintenance tasks must not be performed by children unless under supervision.
