The KammRack is a robust roof rack system designed for commercial vehicles. It offers various load capacities depending on the specific kit and vehicle configuration.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Assemble Rack Feet

Connect component A to component B of the rack foot assembly. [arrow]

Step 2: Insert Component

Insert the rack foot assembly into the main rack bar. [arrow]

Step 3: Attach Bracket

Attach the mounting bracket (MS1664) to the rack foot using bolts (FN006), washers (FW002 x 2), and bolt (FB003). Secure with bracket (MS1142). [wrench]

Step 4: Connect to Vehicle Rail

Attach the assembled foot to the vehicle's roof rail using part SA431. [arrow]

Step 5: Prepare Rack Bars

For the 'R' (Rear) and 'F' (Front) rack bars, attach the appropriate feet. For the 'R' bar, use SA398U x 3, PS183, MS1664, PS035. For the 'F' bar, use SA397U x 3, PS183, MS1664, PS035. [view-details]

Step 6: Insert Fixing Clips

Slide the fixing clips (FN020) into the designated slots on the vehicle's roof rail. [arrow]

Step 7: Position and Secure Feet

Place the rack feet onto the fixing clips and secure them using part PS183 and PS024. [arrow]

Step 8: Attach Lower Brackets

Attach the lower brackets (PS035) and securing plates (PS047) to the rack feet. [arrow]

Step 9: Install Bolts and Washers

Insert bolts (FS001, M6 x 20mm) with washers (FW008, FW001) into the rack feet. Insert bolts (FS042, M6 x 40mm) with washers (FW008, FW001) into the rack feet. [view-details]

Step 10: Secure Rack to Feet

Attach the rack bar to the feet using PS183 and M6 x 40mm bolts. [arrow]

Step 11: Secure Rack to Feet (Alternative)

Attach the rack bar to the feet using PS035 and M6 x 20mm bolts. [arrow]

Step 12: Initial Tightening

Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm using a 10mm wrench. [wrench]

Step 13: Final Tightening

Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm using a 10mm wrench. [wrench]

Step 14: Orient Rack Bars

Ensure the 'F' (Front) and 'R' (Rear) rack bars are correctly oriented. [view-details]

Step 15: Secure Locking Mechanism

Tighten the locking mechanism to approximately 10 Nm. [wrench]

Step 16: Final Tightening (Specific Bolts)

Tighten specific bolts to approximately 12 Nm using a 13mm wrench (x2). [wrench]

Step 17: Engage Locking Mechanism

Engage the locking mechanism. [arrow]

Step 18: Lock Feet

Rotate the locking mechanism 90 degrees to lock the feet. [lock-symbol]

Step 21: Check Assembly

Step 22: Insert FN085

Insert part FN085 into the rack bar slots. [arrow]

Step 23: Attach EXT15-02

Slide part EXT15-02 into the rack bar, aligning with F, A1, B1, C1, R positions. [arrow]

Step 24: Secure with FS059

Secure the EXT15-02 component using FS059 bolts (x4). [wrench]

Step 25: Engage Locking Mechanism

Slide the locking cover onto the rack foot and listen for an audible click. [listen-for-click]

Step 26: Tighten Locking Mechanisms

Tighten both locking mechanisms to approximately 10 Nm. [wrench]

Step 27: Tighten Locking Mechanism

Tighten the locking mechanism to approximately 10 Nm. [wrench]

Step 28: Engage Locking Mechanism

Engage the locking mechanism by pushing it into place. Listen for an audible click. [listen-for-click]

Step 33: Attach EXT15-02

Step 35: Engage Locking Mechanism
