Rhino Capra Axles & Rhino YUE LCG Chassis Assembly Guide
Rhino Capra Axles Kit Overview
This guide details the assembly of the Rhino Capra Axles and the Rhino YUE LCG Chassis. Ensure all parts are present before beginning.
Step 1: Rear Link Assembly
Assemble the rear links as shown in the provided diagrams. This step involves connecting the various link components to form the rear suspension linkage.
Step 2: Servo Mount Assembly
Attach the servo mount to the designated area on the rear axle assembly. This provides a platform for mounting the steering servo.
Step 3: Riser Link Assembly
Assemble the riser link. If assembling the riser link only, use M3 x 8mm screws. If assembling the riser link and battery mount, use M3 x 10mm screws.
Step 4: Gearbox Assembly
Assemble the gearbox components. This typically involves securing the gearbox housing and preparing it for motor installation.
Step 5: Motor Installation
Install the Rhino S12 Motor into the assembled gearbox. Ensure proper alignment and secure the motor.
Step 6: Front Axle Assembly
Attach the 60mm length links and 95mm length shocks to the front axles. Use two M3 x 25mm screws for this step.
Step 7: Front Drive Shaft Assembly
Connect the 65-81mm drive shafts to the front axles. These shafts transmit power to the front wheels.
Step 8: Chassis and Link Assembly
Mount the gearbox and the front lower links to the YUE LCG chassis. Use M3 x 20mm and M3 x 30mm screws as indicated.
Step 9: Rear Link Attachment
Connect the rear lower links to the rear axles. This completes the lower suspension linkage for the rear of the chassis.
Step 10: Carrier Assembly
Attach the carrier component to the YUE LCG chassis. This part often serves as a central support or mounting point.
Step 11: Bent Link Installation
Install the 190mm bent links to the YUE LCG chassis using M3 x 25mm screws. These links contribute to the chassis geometry and suspension setup.
Step 12: Rear Axle Link Attachment
Attach the 100mm links to the rear axles. These are crucial for the rear suspension geometry.
Step 13: Front Link and Shock Assembly
Connect the front lower links and shocks to the front axles. This step finalizes the front suspension assembly.
Step 14: Rear Shock and Link Assembly
Mount the rear shocks and rear links to the chassis. Use M3 x 20mm screws and d3-D6 x 5mm spacers for this step.
Step 15: Drive Shaft and Upper Link Assembly
Install the 65-81mm drive shafts and the front upper links to the chassis. This connects the drivetrain and suspension components.
Step 16: Bumper Assembly
Attach the bumper to the front of the chassis. The bumper provides protection and mounting points for accessories.
Step 17: Body Mount Installation
Assemble and install the body mounts onto the chassis. These mounts will secure the RC car's body shell.
Final Assembly and Power System Installation
The assembly of the Rhino Capra Axles and Rhino YUE LCG Chassis is now complete. Proceed with installing the Rhino power system, including the motor and electronic speed controller (ESC), following the respective component instructions.
