⚠️ Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed:
Read all instructions before operating. Detailed instructions are available online at drbrownsbaby.com/customer-support and dr.browns.co/intl. Failure to operate the product correctly can result in damage to the product and/or personal property and cause serious injury.
To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock:
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged. If the supply cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
- Do not place the unit or power cord on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated oven, or near an open flame.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before adding water or cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use. Do not attempt disassembly.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
- Ensure that the wall outlet voltage matches the voltage of the appliance.
To reduce the risk of injury or burns:
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
- Do not touch hot surfaces, including the lid and interior parts, during use.
- When the cycle is complete, open the lid by the front tab, allow steam to clear, and carefully remove contents by hand or with the lift-out basket.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children. This appliance shall not be used or played with by children. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is opened or if you reach over the appliance while in use.
- Beware of steam and avoid spilling or splashing water on yourself when removing contents.
- Food should not be heated for too long. Always test content temperature before feeding your baby. Before feeding, pour a few drops of contents from the bottle or food jar onto the back of your hand to test the temperature.
To protect against property damage, place the appliance on a level, heat-resistant surface.
To operate, plug the cord into a wall outlet. To disconnect, ensure the unit is off, then remove the plug from the wall outlet. Household use only. Do not use outdoors.
Save These Instructions: Special Cord Instructions
A short power-supply cord (or short detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
- If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
- The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally (especially by children).

Using distilled water can help prevent buildup, but regular descaling is needed for best performance. See cleaning instructions below to remove milk and descaling instructions to remove mineral deposits. DO NOT use bleach, scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or solvents for cleaning or descaling.
WARMING CHAMBER: Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge.
WARMING BASKET, LIFT-OUT BASKET, LID AND RESERVOIR: Clean in hot, soapy water and rinse well or in a dishwasher (top rack only). Allow to air dry.
Descaling
If buildup forms on the heating plate, follow the steps below.
- Empty Reservoir and Baskets.
