Product Overview
LCD Display
The LCD display shows various information including time, indoor/outdoor temperature, and weather forecasts. The focus length for projection is approximately 1.5m to 2m.

Getting Started
Connecting Main Unit to Power Supply
Connect the power cable to the Micro USB jack and plug the power adapter into a suitable power outlet.
Inserting Batteries into Remote Thermo Sensor
Slide the battery compartment cover open and insert two "AAA" batteries, matching the polarity as shown, then replace the cover. Press the RESET button inside the sensor after each battery change.
Placement of the Main Unit
- Place the device as far as possible from computers and microwaves to avoid interference with reception.
- Only use this device indoors in a dry location.
- Leave space around the device for ventilation, allowing warm air to escape freely.
- To ensure good sound quality, do not cover the speaker.
Placement of the Remote Thermo Sensor (RTHN129)
Ideal placements for the sensor are outdoors, at a height of not more than 1.5m (5 ft), shielded from direct sunlight or wet conditions. The maximum radio signal reach is 50m, depending on conditions.

Radio Reception
The product automatically synchronizes its calendar and clock when within range of a radio signal. The radio reception symbol (RCC) blinks during signal reception, which typically takes 2 to 10 minutes, but can take up to 24 hours for a weak signal.

The main unit can receive RF clock data from remote sensors in DCF (EU), MSF (UK), and WWVB (US) formats. Time zone settings vary by region.

Note: Reception can be affected by metal objects, electrical appliances, transmission towers, steel-reinforced construction, and metal siding. Optimal reception is achieved near a window.
Enabling/Disabling Radio Reception
The SEARCH button is located inside the outdoor receiver.
- Press SEARCH to enable the RCC search function. The LED will flash twice.
- Press and hold SEARCH to disable the RCC search function. The LED will flash three times.
Setting Time Manually
- Press and hold SEARCH (located inside the outdoor receiver) to disable signal reception.
- Press and hold the Clock button. The screen displays ZONE and the number flashes.
- Press + or - to adjust the time zone setting. For EU/UK, the time-zone offset sets the clock up to +/- 23 hours from the received clock signal time. For US, the time-zone setting is 0(P), 1(M), 2(C), 3(E).
- Press the Clock button to confirm.
- Press + or - to adjust the 12/24h format, hour, minute, year, calendar format (month-day/day-month), month, date, and temperature unit (°C/°F).
- Press the Clock button again to confirm.
Displaying Time and Date
- Press the Clock button to toggle between time and date display.
Alarm Function
The clock allows setting two different alarm times.
Setting/Adjusting Alarm Time
- Press and hold the Set/Alarm button.
- Use + and - to adjust the hour and press Set/Alarm to confirm.
- Use + and - to adjust the minute and press Set/Alarm to confirm.
- The alarm time is displayed. The alarm sound will stop after 2 minutes.
Snooze Function
- To use the SNOOZE function, press the SNOOZE (light) button on top of the clock when the alarm sounds. The alarm will stop and start again after 8 minutes. This function can be repeated three times.
Displaying the Alarm Time
- By default, the clock shows the current time and date.
- To display Alarm 1 for 5 seconds, press + and Set/Alarm.
- To display Alarm 2 for 5 seconds, press - and Set/Alarm.
Activating/Deactivating the Alarm
- Press the Set/Alarm button to activate/deactivate alarm in sequence: Alarm 1 → Alarm 2 → Both ON → Both OFF.
Backlight
- To activate the backlight and projection function for 5 seconds, press the Snooze (light) button.
Note: This function only works when the backlight level is set to LO.
- To adjust backlight level, press the Light button to toggle between HI and LO.
Projection
The projector displays the time on your ceiling for easy viewing in a darkened room.
- To activate the backlight and projection function for 5 seconds, press the Snooze (light) button.
Note: This function only works when the projection function is turned OFF.
- To turn projection On and OFF, press and hold the Light button to toggle between options (default setting is ON).
- To flip the projection content by 180°, press the Flip 180° button.
Temperature Function
Temperature is measured in °C or °F.
- Press °C/°F to toggle between Centigrade (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- The current indoor temperature is always displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD display.
- Up to 5 remote sensors can be connected to the main unit for outdoor temperature information.
- Press + and - to toggle between channels (1 to 5) and display the outdoor temperature of different sensors.
- Press and hold + and - for 2 seconds to start searching for remote sensors.
- Press and hold + and - for 2 seconds to enable auto-scan function for the 5 channels. Information from Channel 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 will automatically be displayed in sequence.
Resetting the Clock
- Whenever the clock is not behaving as expected, press the Reset button with the point of a blunt object such as a stylus or ballpoint pen.
Note: This will return all settings to default values.
Remote Sensor
The main unit can collect temperature data from up to 5 sensors, which should be placed within 50m (98 ft) of the main unit. The amber LED Indicator on the front of the sensor will blink to indicate that the unit is transmitting a signal.
- CH Channel 1-5: If more than one sensor is used, ensure each has a different channel number.
- EU/UK/US: Select your region for RCC.
- SEARCH: Press to search for RCC function.
- RESET: Press if the sensor is not working correctly or if the batteries have been replaced.
Note: Before placing the remote sensor outdoors, check that the battery compartment door is closed properly.

- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards.
- Do not attempt to repair or modify the unit yourself. Contact the retailer or a qualified repairman if servicing is required. Only use manufacturer-recommended replacement parts.

Care
This product is designed for years of service if handled properly. Oregon Scientific is not responsible for deviations in usage from user instructions or unapproved alterations/repairs. Observe the following guidelines:
Attention! Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug from the socket.
- Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to wipe the unit. Do not use liquid cleaning agents, benzene, thinner, or aerosols.
- Projector Lens: A dirty lens can result in blurred projection. Periodically check for dust or dirt.
- Dust Removal: Blow dust from the lens with a camera brush/blower. Lightly brush the lens, then blow dust off again.
- Fingerprint Removal: If the lens is not clean after brushing/blowing, use a cotton swab dipped in a special cleaning solution, cleaning from the center outwards.
- Do not scratch the LCD display with hard objects.
- Never immerse the product in water; this can cause electrical shock and damage.
- Do not subject the main unit to extreme force, shock, or fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
- Do not tamper with internal components.
- Ventilation: Vents and openings are designed to keep the unit cool and should not be blocked or covered. Preventing ventilation can lead to overheating and damage.
Advice Regarding Batteries
- Do not expose batteries to extreme heat (direct sunlight, fire, etc.).
- Batteries do not belong in household waste! Expired batteries must be disposed of environmentally and according to legal regulations.
- Batteries are very dangerous if swallowed. Keep expired batteries away from children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
- Batteries must not be recharged, activated by other means, dismantled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.
- Do not mix new and old batteries or different types of batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries with this product.
- Remove batteries if storing the product for a long period.
- Batteries must be removed prior to disposing of the device.
