Description

The Claber Rain Sensor BT is a device designed to monitor rainfall and control irrigation systems. When the sensor detects a significant amount of rainfall (at least 5 mm), it sends a stop signal to associated irrigation programmers via the myClaber App. Once the water has evaporated, the sensor signals to resume watering.

Product Components

  • Top cover
  • Internal floater
  • Receptacle
  • Fastening bracket
  • Battery status LED
  • Battery holder
  • Battery housing cover

Battery Replacement

The sensor requires two new AA 1.5V (LR6) Alkaline batteries, which are not included.

  1. Open the top cover of the sensor.
  2. Remove the old batteries from the battery holder.
  3. Insert two new AA 1.5V alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). The battery status LED will indicate battery levels.
  4. Close the battery housing cover securely.

When the LED flashes red, the batteries are running low and should be replaced promptly. If the sensor will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries. Dispose of drained batteries in designated collection bins.

App and Pairing

Download the App

Download the myClaber App from Google Play for Android devices (minimum version 8) or the App Store for iOS devices (minimum version 12).

Pairing

Follow the pairing instructions provided within the myClaber App to connect the Rain Sensor BT to your irrigation system.

Testing

Before final assembly, test the sensor's functionality. Pair the product via the App. Insert the float correctly into the sensor. Within seconds, a grey umbrella icon should appear on the myClaber App in the paired Rain Sensor BT section. Remove the float; the icon should change to blue, confirming the sensor is working correctly.

Installation

For correct operation, position the internal floater inside the sensor's container with the special fins facing upwards and the orange base facing downwards. Ensure the top cover is kept closed to prevent foliage or impurities from entering and affecting performance.

Install the sensor with its support on a stable wall in an area that is exposed to rainfall. The sensor should be mounted at least 2 meters above the ground.

The Rain Sensor BT is compatible with all Claber programmers featuring Bluetooth technology (e.g., models cod. 8497, 8498, 90843, 90842, 90840). Place the Rain Sensor BT at a minimum distance of 1 meter and a maximum of 10 meters (without obstacles) from the programmers.
