Appearance
The Huawei Mobile WiFi has the following components:
- ① Battery indicator: Indicates battery status (Green: Sufficient, Blinking Green: Charging, Red: Low battery).
- ② Power button: Press and hold to turn the Mobile WiFi on or off.
- ③ Micro USB port: For charging the device.
- ④ Signal indicator: Shows signal strength (Green: Strong, Yellow: Weak, Red: No signal).
- ⑤ RESET button: Press and hold to restart and restore factory settings.
Note: If you forget the password or SSID, restore the device to its factory settings.
Installation
Insert the SIM card into the device.
Wi-Fi® Connection
The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi network key are printed on the Mobile WiFi label.
It is strongly recommended to change the default SSID and Wi-Fi key for security.
HUAWEI SmartHome App
Download the HUAWEI SmartHome app to manage your Mobile WiFi:
- Change the SSID and Wi-Fi network key.
- Check data traffic and SMS messages.
- Check roaming state and signal strength.
Note: You can also manage your Mobile WiFi via the web interface at http://192.168.8.1. The default password is 'admin'.
Wi-Fi Extender (Optional)
The Wi-Fi extender feature increases Wi-Fi coverage by connecting to existing Wi-Fi networks, reducing mobile data usage.
Charging
Use only compatible chargers provided by a designated manufacturer.
Note: The charger is an optional accessory. Contact an authorized retailer to purchase one.
Tips
- Device Not Responding: Restart the device. If the issue persists, restore it to factory settings.
- Connection Timeout: Press the Power button. If the indicator lights up, the device is in Sleep mode. If not, it's powered off. Press and hold the Power button to turn it back on. Wi-Fi is automatically disabled in Sleep mode to save power. To disable this feature, go to the management page (note: this reduces battery life).
- Cannot Connect to Network: Ensure PIN verification is not enabled. If it is, enter the correct PIN via the HUAWEI SmartHome app or disable the feature in the app's settings.
- Cannot Access Web Interface: If 192.168.8.1 is unavailable, try 192.168.9.1 due to potential IP address conflicts.
- Device Not Powering On: The battery may be depleted. Charge the device and try again.
- Device Powered Off Suddenly: This may be due to overheating. Ensure the device has adequate ventilation and is cooled before powering it on again.
Attention: Avoid using the device in environments where wireless devices are prohibited (e.g., during flights) and ensure it is powered off.

Ideal storage temperatures: -10°C to +45°C. Keep the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid rain and moisture. Do not touch the antenna. Keep away from children and pets.
- Child Safety: Keep the device and its small parts away from children. Adult supervision is recommended for children using the device.
- Accessories: Use only approved accessories. Using unapproved accessories may void the warranty and be hazardous.
- Charger Safety: Use only approved chargers. Ensure the socket-outlet is easily accessible. Unplug when not in use. Do not use damaged chargers. Do not touch the charger with wet hands.
- Battery Safety: Do not short-circuit the battery. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not attempt to modify, immerse, or expose the battery to liquids. If the battery leaks, flush with water and consult a doctor. Stop using if the battery is deformed, discolored, or overheated. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Do not allow children or pets to damage the battery. Do not puncture or crush the battery. If the device has a built-in battery, do not attempt to remove it yourself.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the device and accessories dry. Do not use external heat sources for drying. Avoid extreme temperatures and collisions. Disconnect all cables before cleaning. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth. Do not use chemical detergents. Keep magnetic stripe cards away from the device. Do not dismantle the device or accessories.
- Environmental Protection: Dispose of the device and accessories according to local regulations.
