Smart SN Electronic Pressure Transmitters

General

The Honeywell FEMA Smart SN Electronic Pressure Transmitters are microprocessor-controlled devices designed for measuring relative pressure ranges from -1...+1 bar and 0...40 bar. They are well-suited for a wide variety of applications, including the precise recording and monitoring of system pressures. Each unit includes an M12x1 angled plug and is designed to be screwed directly into the pressure line or vessel using a G1/2" connection. Both 2-wire and 3-wire versions are available.

Mounting and Wiring

The device is mounted directly to the pipe or vessel via a G1/2" (standard manometer) process connection (size 27 wrench). This connection serves to fasten and secure the device in place. All mounting orientations are permitted.

Model Key Overview

The model key is constructed using components like PT (Pressure Transmitter), H (HMI) or S (Standard), a range code (e.g., RB010 for 0-10 bar), a process connection type (e.g., 1 for G1/2"), and an output type (e.g., A2 for 4-20mA 2-wire, V3 for 0-10V 3-wire, A3 for 4-20mA 3-wire).

Connector Pin Assignment

The electrical connection uses a 4-prong A-coded M12 plug. Pin assignments vary by model type:

  • For PTH... models: Pin 1: L+/~, Pin 2: WARN, Pin 3: L-/~, Pin 4: n.c.
  • For PTS...V3 models: Pin 1: L+/~, Pin 2: WARN, Pin 3: UOUT, Pin 4: L-/~.
  • For PTS...A3 models: Pin 1: L+/~, Pin 2: WARN, Pin 3: IOUT, Pin 4: L-/~.
  • For PTS...A2 models: Pin 1: L+, Pin 2: WARN, Pin 3: L-, Pin 4: n.c.

Electrical Protection

When powered with d.c. (Vmax = 35 Vdc), the device is protected against pole-reversal. The input pins of the M12 plug are protected against miswiring; the device will not operate if miswired.

LCD (HMI Models Only)

HMI models feature a 19 x 19 mm LCD equipped with a bicolor backlight. The backlight is white for normal operation and red for fault mode. 2-wire models do not have a backlight. The LCD display information refresh rate is adjustable between 1 and 9 seconds.
