Product Overview

The Hollyland Solidcom C1 Pro is a professional wireless intercom system designed for clear communication in various production environments. This manual details the central unit's interfaces, operational procedures, and settings.

Interfaces

The central unit features several interfaces for connectivity and operation:

  • NP-F Battery Compartment: For powering the unit with NP-F series batteries.
  • Volume Dial: For adjusting the audio volume.
  • Display: Shows system status, settings, and information.
  • Arrow Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right): For navigating menus and options.
  • Menu/Confirm Button: To access menus and confirm selections.
  • Button A & Button B: Used for group assignments. Illuminated orange indicates the user is in the corresponding group (A or B) and can communicate with others in that group. Off indicates the user is not in the group and cannot communicate.
  • ANNOUNCE Button: Press and hold to mute all remote headsets. The indicator lights up orange.
  • USB Interface: For firmware updates or other USB connectivity.
  • 4-Wire Headset Interface (OB10): Connects wired headsets with specific pin configurations for audio and control signals.
  • 2-Wire Audio Interface: For connecting to 2-wire audio systems.
  • PGM Audio Input Interface: For receiving program audio input.
  • Power Switch: Turns the central unit on and off.
  • DC Power Interface: For connecting the power adapter.
  • RJ45 Interface: Used for network connectivity and 4-wire audio connections.
  • RF Antenna Interface: Connects the external antenna for wireless communication.
  • V-Mount/G-Mount Battery Plate: Allows for the use of V-Mount or G-Mount batteries.

Display and Status Indicators

The central unit's display provides real-time information:

  • ① Central Unit Mode (Master/Remote): Indicates if the unit is operating as a master or remote device.
  • ② Central Unit Battery Level: Shows the remaining battery power of the central unit.
  • ③ Headset Signal Strength: Displays the signal strength for connected headsets.
  • ④ Headset Battery Level: Indicates the battery level of the connected headsets (red signifies low battery).
  • ⑤ Number of Headsets: Shows how many headsets are currently connected.
  • Headset Status:
    • TALK: The headset user can hear and speak with other users in the same group.
    • MUTE: The headset user can hear others but cannot speak.
    • LOST: The headset has lost its connection to the central unit.
    • LINK: The headset is reconnecting to the central unit.
  • ⑦ Network Connection Status: Indicates the status of the network connection.
  • ⑧ Wi-Fi Status: Shows the status of the Wi-Fi connection.

Menu Operations

Access the menu by pressing and holding the Menu/Confirm button for approximately 3 seconds.

Network Settings

Navigate to 'Network' to configure network settings. 'Wifi Setting' allows enabling/disabling Wi-Fi. Upon activation, the IP Address, SSID, and Password will be displayed.

WIFI Setting:

  • ON/OFF: Toggles Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • IP Address: 192.168.217.100
  • SSID: HLD_12345678
  • Password: 12345678

Select 'Wired Network Setting' to enable/disable DHCP. When disabled, you can manually configure the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway. User Name and Password for web access are also displayed.

Wired Network Setting:

  • ON/OFF: Toggles DHCP.
  • IP Address: 192.168.218.10 (Modify option available)
  • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 (Modify option available)
  • Gateway: 192.168.218.1 (Modify option available)
  • User Name: admin
  • Password: 12345678

Master & Remote (M & R) Settings

Select 'M & R' to set the central unit as a master or remote device.

Master Device: Sets the central unit as the master device.

Remote Device:

  1. Select 'Remote Device' then 'Scan' to find connected master devices.
  2. Select the IP address of the corresponding master device and confirm. The central unit will be set as a remote device.
  3. If using a single central unit, it must be set as the master.
  4. For daisy-chain connections with more than two central units, one must be set as master and the others as remote.

Master-Remote Device List:

  • Master 1 IP: 192.168.218.011
  • Master 2 IP: 192.168.218.012
  • Master 3 IP: 192.168.218.013
  • Master 4 IP: 192.168.218.014
  • Master 5 IP: 192.168.218.015

Group Settings

Select 'Group' to configure group settings and view their status.

Group Presets:

  • A group: All devices belong to group A.
  • AB group: All devices belong to groups A and B.
  • Customize: Group settings can be customized via the web interface. (By default, all devices belong to group A).

Group Review: Displays the current group assignments for each headset.

PGM Settings

Select 'PGM' to set the PGM audio gain based on the input volume.

Gain Setting: Options include -18dB, -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, 6dB.

4-Wire Audio Settings

Select '4 Wire' to configure 4-wire audio settings.

Input Gain: Set the input gain based on the input volume. Options: -18dB, -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, 6dB.

Output Gain: Set the output gain based on the output volume. Options: -18dB, -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, 6dB.

Line Sequence Switching: Switch between 'Standard' and 'Cross' modes.

Standard Mode: IN+, OUT+, OUT-, IN-

Cross Mode: OUT+, IN+, IN-, OUT-

2-Wire Audio Settings

Select '2 Wire' to configure 2-wire audio settings.

Cable Compensation: Adjust compensation based on the 2-wire cable length. Options: 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m.

Terminal Resistance: Control the terminal resistance of the connected 2-wire device. Select 'ON' if it has terminal resistance, 'OFF' otherwise.

Input Gain: Set the input gain based on the input volume. Options: -18dB, -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, 6dB.

Output Gain: Set the output gain based on the output volume. Options: -18dB, -12dB, -6dB, 0dB, 6dB.

Language Settings

Select 'Language' to choose between Chinese (中文) and English.

Information

Select 'Info' to view information about the central unit.

  • Master-Remote: Displays the current mode.
  • Reset: Resets the central unit to factory default settings. Confirm the reset action.
  • Version Information: V1.0.3.5
  • Hardware Number: H000

Group Button Operation on Headsets

After configuring group settings on the central unit, the A or B button on a connected headset will illuminate. The light indicates the group the headset belongs to. Press the A or B button on the headset to join or leave the respective group.

  • Illuminated Orange: The headset user is in the corresponding group and can communicate with others in that group.
  • Off: The headset user is not in the corresponding group and cannot communicate with others in that group.

Daisy-Chain Connection

Multiple central units can be daisy-chained to expand the number of available headsets. Two methods are supported: 4-wire analog signals and IP digital signals.

  • It is recommended to daisy-chain two central units using 4-wire analog signals and three or more units using IP digital signals.
  • Use CAT5e or CAT6e network cables for daisy-chain connections. The standard 568B wiring is recommended for RJ45 interfaces.
  • Maximum cable length for network cables is 300 meters.

4-Wire Daisy-Chain Connection

To connect two central units via the 4-wire interface, use a standard network cable (up to 300 meters).

IP Network Daisy-Chain Connection

To connect multiple central units via IP network, use a standard network cable. For three central units, set one as 'Master Device' and the other two as 'Remote Device'.

4-Wire Interface Settings

After connecting two central units with a network cable, select '4 Wire' > 'Line Sequence Switching' on both units. Set one central unit to 'Standard' and the other to 'Cross'.

Centralina ① (Standard):

  • Select '4 Wire Setting' > 'Line Sequence Switching' > 'Standard'.

Centralina ② (Cross):

  • Select '4 Wire Setting' > 'Line Sequence Switching' > 'Cross'.

M & R Mode Settings

After connecting two central units with a network cable, select 'M & R' on both units to set the mode.

  • On one central unit, select 'Master Device'.
  • On the other central unit, select 'Remote Device' > 'Scan', then select the IP address of the corresponding master central unit.
  • Ensure that 'Network' > 'Wired Network Setting' is set to 'OFF' on both central units.

Display of Centralina:

  • Centralina ①: Select 'Network' > 'Wired Network Setting' > 'OFF'. Then select 'M & R' > 'Master Device'.
  • Centralina ②: Select 'Network' > 'Wired Network Setting' > 'OFF'. Then select 'M & R' > 'Remote Device' > 'Scan'.
  • After selecting 'Scan', master device IP addresses will be displayed. Select the desired IP address using the arrow buttons and press 'Menu/Confirm' to confirm.
