- Install or locate the appliance according to provided installation instructions.
- When cleaning door and oven surfaces, use only mild, nonabrasive soaps or detergents with a sponge or soft cloth.
- Be aware that liquids like water, coffee, or tea can be superheated beyond boiling point without appearing to boil. This can cause very hot liquids to suddenly boil over when disturbed or when a utensil is inserted.
- Do not heat whole eggs or sealed containers (e.g., closed glass jars) as they may explode.
- Use this microwave oven only for its intended use as described in this manual.
- Do not use corrosive chemicals or vapors. This oven is designed for heating, cooking, or drying food, not for industrial or laboratory use.
- Close supervision is necessary when children use the appliance.
- Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.
- To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
- Do not overcook food. Attend the oven carefully if paper, plastic, or combustible materials are used for cooking.
- Remove wire twist-ties from bags before placing them in the oven.
- If materials inside ignite, keep the oven door closed, turn off the oven at the wall switch, or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
- Do not use the cavity for storage. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in the cavity when not in use.
- Only qualified service personnel should service this appliance. Contact the nearest authorized service facility.
- Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
- Do not use this microwave oven to heat corrosive chemicals (e.g., sulfides and chlorides), as their vapors can interact with safety interlock switches and render them inoperable.
- Do not immerse the cord or plug in water.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.
- Never clean appliance parts with flammable fluids, as fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
- Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids nearby, as fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
Installation Instructions
Before Using Your Microwave Oven
- Remove exterior and interior packing.
- Verify you have all parts: Glass Tray, Turntable Roller Assembly (Roller or Roller Ring), Instruction Manual.
- Inspect the oven after unpacking for visual damage such as:
- Misaligned Door
- Damaged Door
- Dents or Holes in Door Window and Screen
- Dents in Cavity
- If any visible damage is present, DO NOT use the oven.
Installation of Your Microwave Oven
- Position the microwave oven on a flat, stable surface.
- Do not block air vents; blocked vents can cause overheating and oven failure.
- Position the oven away from TVs, radios, or antennas to avoid poor reception and radio interference.
- Clean the interior surface with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
- Keep the oven away from hot air, steam, or splashing liquids, as this can affect operation and cause breakdown.
- Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating, and heat sources may increase electrical consumption.
- Plug into an exclusive, properly installed, grounded wall outlet. Never cut or remove the third (ground) prong. Direct any questions about power or grounding to a certified electrician or authorized service center.
- Do not place anything on top of the oven.
- Keep the oven at least 5 inches away from sidewalls and the rear wall for adequate ventilation.
- Do not remove the turntable drive shaft.
Safety Precautions
PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY
- Do not attempt to operate the oven with the door open, as this can lead to dangerous microwave energy exposure. Do not tamper with safety interlocks.
- Do not place objects between the oven front face and the door, or allow residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces. Clean sealing area frequently with mild detergent, rinse, and wipe dry. Never use abrasive powders or pads.
- Do not strain the door when open (e.g., a child hanging on it), as this could cause the oven to fall forward, causing injury and door damage.
- Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is crucial that the door closes properly and shows no damage to the door (bent), hinges/latches (broken/loosened), or door seals/sealing surfaces.
- The oven should only be adjusted or repaired by qualified service personnel.
General Use
- Do not attempt to tamper with or make adjustments/repairs to the door, control panel, or any other part. Do not remove the outer panel. Repairs must be done by qualified service personnel.
- Do not operate the oven empty. Microwave energy will reflect continuously if no food or water is present to absorb it.
- If a fire occurs in the oven, turn the timer to "0" and LEAVE THE DOOR CLOSED. Disconnect the power cord or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
- Do not attempt to dry clothes, newspapers, or other materials in the oven, as they may catch fire.
- Do not use recycled paper products, as they may contain impurities that can cause sparks and/or fires.
- Do not hit or strike the control panel, as this can damage the controls.
Utensils
- Do not use metal containers or dishes with metallic rims, as they can cause arcing.
- Do not use metal twist-ties in the microwave oven.
- Do not use sealed jars or narrow-neck bottles for cooking or reheating, as they may shatter.
- Do not use conventional thermometers in the microwave oven; they may cause arcing. Use only those labeled "Microwave Safe" and follow directions. Check food in several places.
- Remove plastic store wraps before cooking or defrosting.
Recommended
- Microwave browning dish: Use to brown the exterior of small items like steaks, chops, or pancakes. Follow the dish's instructions.
- Microwaveable plastic wrap: Use to retain steam. Leave a small opening for steam to escape. Avoid placing it directly on the food.
- Paper towels and napkins: Use for short-term heating and covering. They absorb excess moisture and prevent splattering. Do not use recycled paper towels, which may contain metal and could ignite.
Food
- Never use your microwave oven as a storage cabinet. Stored food can spoil and become dangerous.
- Cooking times are approximate. Factors affecting cooking include starting temperature, altitude, volume, size, shape of food, and utensils. Adjust as you become familiar with the oven.
- It is better to undercook than overcook food. Undercooked food can be returned for further cooking; overcooked food cannot be fixed. Always start with minimum cooking times.
- Small quantities or low-moisture foods can burn, dry out, or catch fire if cooked too long.
- Do not boil eggs in their shell, as pressure buildup can cause them to explode.
- Foods with nonporous skins (e.g., potatoes, apples, egg yolks, acorn squash, sausage) must be pierced before cooking to prevent bursting.
- Popcorn must be popped in a microwave corn popper. Microwave popcorn yields less than conventional popping. Use only microwave-approved popcorn utensils or commercially packaged popcorn specifically recommended for microwave ovens. Do not use oil unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not attempt to deep fat fry in your oven.
- Heated liquids can erupt if not mixed with air. Stir liquids before heating.
Electrical Connection
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be grounded. Grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for electric current in case of a short circuit. The appliance is equipped with a cord with a grounding wire and plug. The plug must be inserted into a properly installed and grounded outlet.
Attention: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if grounding instructions are not fully understood or if there is doubt about proper grounding.
The power cord has a three-prong plug that mates with standard three-prong wall outlets to minimize shock risk. Never cut or remove the third ground prong. Do not use extension cords; if the cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or serviceman install an outlet nearby.
This appliance requires a standard 115/120 Volts A.C. ~/60Hz electrical outlet with a three-prong ground.
The cord should be secured behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling to prevent accidental injury.
Diagrams illustrate proper grounding with a 3-pronged plug and a grounding adapter.
Operating Your Microwave Oven
While your oven has safety features, it's important to observe the following:
- Do not tamper with or obstruct the safety interlocks.
- Do not place objects between the oven front face and the door, or allow residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces. Wipe the sealing area frequently with a mild detergent, rinse, and wipe dry. Never use abrasive powders or pads.
- Do not strain the door when open (e.g., a child hanging on it), as this could cause the oven to fall forward, causing injury and door damage.
- Do not operate the oven if it is damaged until repaired by qualified service personnel. Ensure the oven door closes properly and is not damaged (bent door, broken/loosened hinges/latches, damaged door seals/sealing surfaces).
- The oven should only be adjusted or repaired by qualified service personnel.
Control Panel and Operating Instructions
The control panel consists of two function selector knobs:
Power Selector Knob
Use this knob to select the cooking power level. Power levels increase clockwise and decrease counter-clockwise.
Power Setting | Power Output |

CAUTION: ALWAYS RETURN THE TIMER TO THE ZERO POSITION when food is removed from the oven before the end of the cooking cycle or when the oven is not in use.
Cooking Techniques
Microwave cooking is easier than conventional cooking, provided you keep these considerations in mind:
- Stirring: Stir foods like casseroles and vegetables during cooking to distribute heat evenly. Food on the outside absorbs energy faster, so stir from outside to center. The oven stops when you open the door to stir.
- Arrangement: Arrange irregularly shaped foods (chicken pieces, chops) with thicker, meatier parts towards the outside of the turntable for more microwave energy. Place delicate areas (asparagus tips) towards the center to prevent overcooking.
- Turning: Turn foods halfway through cooking to expose all parts to microwave energy. This is important for large foods like roasts.
- Standing: Foods continue to cook internally for minutes after heating stops. Let foods stand to complete cooking, especially cakes and whole vegetables. Roasts need this time for center cooking without overcooking outer areas. Stir liquids (soup, hot chocolate) when cooking is complete. Let liquids stand before serving. For baby food, mix well and test temperature before serving.
- Adding Moisture: Microwave energy is attracted to water molecules. Cover foods with uneven moisture content or let them stand for even heat dispersion. Add a small amount of water to dry food to aid cooking.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning Your Appliance
- Turn off and unplug the oven before cleaning.
- Keep the interior clean. Wipe splatters or spills with a damp cloth. Mild detergent can be used if very dirty. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasives.
- Clean exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Prevent water from entering ventilation openings to avoid damage to internal parts.
- Do not let the control panel get wet. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use detergents, abrasives, or spray cleaners. Leave the oven door open when cleaning the control panel to prevent accidental activation.
- If steam accumulates inside or around the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur in high humidity and does not indicate malfunction.
- Occasionally remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash in warm, sudsy water or in a dishwasher.
- Clean the roller ring and oven cavity floor regularly to avoid excessive noise. Wipe the bottom surface with a mild detergent, water, or glass cleaner, then dry. The roller ring can be washed in mild sudsy water or a dishwasher. Cooking vapors may collect but do not affect the floor or roller ring wheels. Ensure the roller ring is replaced in the correct position after cleaning.
- To remove odors, microwave a cup of water with the juice and peel of one lemon for 5 minutes. Wipe thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
- Consult a dealer for oven light replacement.
