If significant difference persists after multiple calibrations, recalibrate. Setup steps: Treadmill > Settings > More > Recalibrate.

Down Swing Direction

For some workouts (e.g., golf), wear the device on the hand matching the golf swing direction for more accurate data. If down swing is left (hitting ball right to left), wear watch on left hand. Setting steps: Golf Swing > Settings > More > Down Swing Direction.

Runway Distance & Track Selection

In Track Run workout, set runway distance and track selection for more accurate data. Setting steps: Track Run > Settings > More > Track Run Settings > Runway distance & Track selection.

Real-time Performance

Assesses physical condition and performance during exercise. Higher value indicates better state. Effective in Outdoor Running and Track Run modes. Reminder pops up during exercise.

  • Reminder timing: Reminders sent when data generated for first time and when range changes.
  • Reminder condition: Data generated only after single workout reaches VO2 Max generation condition.

A Real-time Performance chart is displayed in workout record. Manually turn off via Outdoor running/Track run > Settings > More > Real-time Performance.

Real-time Performance Ranges and Their Meanings:

Aerobic TE ScoreEffect on Improving Aerobic Capacity
0.0-0.9This workout has no no effect on improving aerobic capacity.
1.0-1.9This workout helps improve endurance and is ideal for post-workout recovery training.
2.0-2.9This workout helps maintain aerobic capacity.
3.0-3.9This workout significantly helps improve aerobic capacity.
4.0-4.9This workout remarkably improves heart-lung ability and aerobic capacity.
5.0Post-workout recovery is required for non-athlete users.
Anaerobic TE ScoreEffect on Improving Anaerobic Capacity
0.0-0.9This workout has no effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
1.0-1.9This workout has a slight effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
2.0-2.9This workout helps maintain anaerobic capacity.
3.0-3.9This workout significantly helps improve anaerobic capacity.
4.0-4.9This workout has a significant effect on improving anaerobic capacity.
5.0Post-workout recovery is required for non-athlete users.

TE score is evaluated based on profile, heart rate, and speed. Low TE score doesn't mean a problem, but workout was too easy for significant aerobic improvement. Obtained when heart rate data is monitored; watch displays score and suggestions. Reviewable in workout records.

Workout Status

Includes current training load, full recovery time, and VO2max. Determined by profile and data like heart rate. Accuracy improves with continued use.

VO2 Max (Maximum Oxygen Uptake)

Indicates oxygen consumed during max-intensity workouts, a key indicator of aerobic capacity and prerequisite for high-level aerobic capacity in endurance athletes. A personal indicator, varying by gender and age. Watch evaluates capacity based on profile, heart rate, and speed. Changes with athletic capacity. Everyone has a VO2 Max value, varying by individual body conditions.

How is it obtained?

  1. Correctly enter your profile in the app.
  2. Start outdoor running or trail running for at least 10 minutes, ensuring heart rate reaches 75% of maximum.
  3. After the run, view current VO2 Max in watch's workout record app or "See more statuses" screen.
  4. VO2 Max values map to seven athletic ability levels: Novice, Elementary, Ordinary, Medium, Good, Excellent, and Superior.

How can I view it?

View current VO2 Max in watch's workout status app. Also view history and trends in the app.

Training Load

Calculated based on excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). Higher score means longer workout time and greater intensity. Total training load over past 7 days represents body burden from recent workouts. Three ranges: low, moderate, high.

Low training load won't improve ability much. High/too high load can cause fatigue/injury. Recommended to keep training load in moderate range for continuous improvement within tolerance. Moderate range depends on recent/long-term workout data and improves accuracy with use.

How to obtain training load

Once workout mode is enabled, training load is obtained upon reaching minimum level. View past 7 days' training load in watch's workout status app. View historical load and trends in the app.

Total Recovery Time

Recommended time for complete body recovery. After each workout, recovery suggestions are based on heart rate to aid recovery and prevent injury.

Full Recovery PeriodWorkout Suggestions
0-18 hoursYou have fully or nearly fully recovered, and you can do slightly higher-intensity training.
19-35 hoursYou can train as usual and you can prepare to strengthen your regimen again.
36-53 hoursAppropriately reducing the intensity of your training will allow you to gain workout benefits from your last training, and you should do recovery workouts to relieve physical fatigue.
54-96 hoursProper rest will allow you to get the benefits of the workout from your last high-intensity training.

Heart Rate After Workout

Device automatically measures heart rate within 3 minutes after workout end. Results displayed in heart rate chart section of Zepp app workout record. If next workout starts immediately, previous workout's Heart Rate after Workout measurement terminates. Delayed termination after pausing may affect accuracy.

To ensure timeliness and effectiveness of Heart Rate after Workout data measurement, it is recommended to: 1. End the workout timely. 2. Wear the watch properly within 3 minutes after workout end. 3. Wait at least 3 minutes after previous workout before starting next one.

Zepp Coach

Zepp Coach customizes a training plan based on workout history and exercise habits to improve athletic capacity and cardiorespiratory fitness while avoiding injuries.
