If you choose outdoor exercises, wait until GPS positioning is successful on your watch. Tap the green status bar on the exercise preparation screen to start the exercise. This ensures that the watch records complete exercise data and prevents data inaccuracies caused by loss of exercise tracking.
Automatically recognized exercise types include walking (indoor), outdoor running, treadmill, outdoor cycling, pool swimming, elliptical, and rowing machine. Automatic workout recognition is a process where the watch automatically determines the workout type and records it as a single workout after compiling the relevant workout features. The workout ends after a period of inactivity. You can set this in Settings > Training > Training Detection. Types: After selecting an exercise type, the automatic recognition feature for that exercise is enabled. Warning: When the feature is enabled, a pop-up dialog will be displayed when an exercise is recognized or ended. When this feature is disabled, data is recorded silently, and a dynamic icon is displayed on the watch face screen. Sensitivity: Higher sensitivity means a shorter recognition time. Lower sensitivity means a longer recognition time. Adjust as needed.
The watch supports voice broadcast for exercise reminders, segmentation, manual pause, resume, and ending exercise. The announcement includes an exercise data summary and operation reminders. Enable: Amazfit T-Rex 3 > Settings > Training > Voice Broadcast. Connect Bluetooth headphones/audio devices. Setting path: Watch > Settings > Bluetooth. When an exercise ends, the exercise record is automatically saved to Exercise History. If you end an exercise when the duration is too short, the watch will ask if you want to save it. Due to limited storage space, it is recommended to synchronize exercise data with the app immediately after completing a workout; otherwise, the workout data may be overwritten.
The exercise history on the watch includes exercise data, exercise track (for GPS-supported exercises), lap/set data, exercise goal completion, and other information. When an exercise ends, the screen immediately jumps to the exercise history details. You can view the last exercise history details in the Exercise History app. The watch can save up to 100 exercise records.
The best performances for some workout types are recorded. These include the longest distance, longest workout duration, and similar performances. The exercise history in the app shows a wider range of exercise data. Dynamic route and sharing features are also supported. App Path: Zepp app > Exercise page > Exercise history.
The watch provides various physical indicators for workouts. You can use the evaluation scores as a reference for your workouts. These indicators, including current training load, total recovery time, VO2max, and training effect, can be viewed in workout records or the Training Status app. You can find detailed explanations of current training load, full recovery time, and VO2max in the Training Status app.
Training Effect (TE) is an indicator that measures the effect of a workout on improving aerobic capacity. When you wear the watch and work out, your TE score starts at 0.0 and increases as the workout progresses. The TE score ranges from 0.0 to 10.0. Ranges from 0.0 to 5.0 vary and show different effects. A higher TE score indicates higher exercise intensity. It implies a higher body load, but a better TE. However, if your TE score reaches 5.0, you should consider whether your body load is too high.
When a workout with heart rate data tracking ends, the watch displays the TE score for the workout and provides relevant comments or suggestions. Additionally, you can review the TE score of each workout record in the future.
Training status includes current training load, full recovery time, and VO2max. These indicators are determined based on your profile and other data such as heart rate. As the watch continues to understand and analyze your body and exercise data, the accuracy of the evaluation scores will gradually increase.
VO2 Max indicates the amount of oxygen your body consumes during maximum intensity exercises and is an important indicator of your body's aerobic capacity. A high VO2 Max, which is one of the most important reference indicators for endurance athletes, is a prerequisite for a high level of aerobic capacity. VO2 Max is a relatively personal indicator with different reference standards for users of different genders and age groups. The watch evaluates your athletic capacity based on your profile and your heart rate and pace during your workouts. Also, your VO2 Max changes with your athletic capacity. However, everyone has a different VO2 Max value depending on their individual body conditions.
Your current VO2 Max value can be viewed in the watch's training status app. You can also view your VO2 Max history and change trends in the app.
The training load score is calculated based on EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption). A higher score indicates a longer exercise duration and higher exercise intensity. The training load score is calculated as your total training load over the last 7 days and represents the load on your body from recent workouts. There are three training load ranges: low, medium, and high. If your training load is low, it doesn't help much to improve your athletic ability. However, if your training load is relatively high or very high, you may feel very tired, which is not conducive to effectively improving your ability and may also lead to injury risks. If you want to continuously improve your athletic ability within a tolerance range, it is recommended to keep your training load score in the medium range. The medium range of the training load score depends on your recent and long-term exercise data and will become more accurate as you use it.
After enabling workout mode on the device, you can obtain the training load of the current workout when you reach the minimum exercise load. The training load for the last 7 days can be viewed in the watch's training status app.
Training load can be viewed in the watch's training status app. You can also view your past training load and change trends in the app.
Total recovery time is the recommended time for your body to fully recover. After each workout, recovery suggestions will be provided based on your heart rate to help you recover better and reasonably arrange your workouts.
Full Recovery Time | Exercise Suggestions |
---|---|
0-18 hours | You are fully or almost fully recovered and can do higher intensity workouts. |
19-35 hours | You can train as usual and prepare to strengthen your regimen. |
36-53 hours | You should appropriately reduce your workout intensity and do recovery workouts to gain workout benefits from your last workout and reduce physical fatigue. |
54-96 hours | Adequate rest will allow you to reap the benefits of your last high-intensity workout. |
The device automatically measures your heart rate for 3 minutes after the end of exercise. The results are displayed in the heart rate graph in the exercise record section of the Zepp app. This section can be viewed by horizontal scrolling. The Cycles app intelligently predicts your period, fertile window, and ovulation day based on your data. This feature is not a substitute for birth control or medical advice. Open the Cycles app, swipe up to the last page, and enter menstrual cycle settings to start menstrual cycle prediction.
The watch sends you a notification at 21:00 on the set date before the start of your menstrual cycle. 1. Enable the menstrual cycle reminder when menstrual cycle prediction is active. 2. In the cycle app, you can set the reminder date for your period reminder and ovulation day reminder or disable the reminder feature.
Breath guides you to take slow and deep breaths to help reduce stress. Wake the watch, go to the app page, press the top button on the watch face page to open the list, and swipe up or down to select and open the Breath app.
The watch supports playing local music; you need to connect Bluetooth headphones/audio devices to play. 1. Add music: Go to Zepp App > Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > Music page, select .mp3 music files from your phone, and transfer them to the watch. Once the transfer is complete, you can play music on the watch. Note: To transfer files, the watch needs to be connected to a hotspot, and your phone cannot be connected to other networks while connected to the hotspot. After the file transfer is complete, the watch will turn off the hotspot, and the phone will automatically connect to the previous network. 2. The music main page supports viewing the song title, artist, previous song, play/pause, next song operation, setting playback mode, volume adjustment, and tapping '+' to collect songs. 3. To change the music usage mode, swipe up from the music main page to the second page, view the song list, connect Bluetooth audio devices, and perform other operations.
Keep your watch connected to your phone. When your phone is playing music, you can start or pause music, skip to the previous or next song, and perform other operations in the watch's music app.
Keep your watch connected to your phone. Launch the Zepp app, go to Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > Notifications & Reminders. On the opened page, tap the message 'Notification access not enabled' to go to the Notification Settings page. Grant notification permission to the Zepp app. If this message is not displayed, permission has been granted.
Note: To enable this feature on an Android phone, you need to add the Zepp app to the allowed list in the phone's background or the auto-start list, so the app always runs in the background. If the Zepp app is terminated by the phone's background process, the watch will disconnect from your phone and will not be able to control music playback.
Apps refer to watch features that can be used individually, such as workout, heart rate, and weather. Wake the watch, go to the app list, swipe up or down on the screen to browse the app list, and tap an app to launch it.
You can add alarms in the Zepp app and on the watch. Up to 10 alarms can be added. Alarms support repeated wake-ups and smart wake-ups. When smart wake-up is enabled, the watch will calculate the best time to wake you up in light sleep, 30 minutes before the set time. When the set alarm time arrives, the watch can buzz or vibrate to remind you, and you can choose to dismiss it or remind you later. If you choose 'Remind Later', the watch will remind you again after 10 minutes. You can use this feature only 5 times per alarm. If you do not perform any action, the watch will default to reminding you later. Keep your watch connected to your phone, open the Zepp app, and go to Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > Calendar. Here you can create or edit an event.
You can also synchronize up to 200 events for today and the next 30 days to the watch. At the same time, the Zepp app will read events from your phone's system calendar and synchronize them to the app's event list, but app events cannot be synchronized with the phone's system calendar. To go to the event list, tap the calendar on the watch, and today's and the next 30 days' events will be displayed. When the specified time arrives, an event reminder will pop up on your watch; you can dismiss it or choose to remind you later. If you choose 'Remind Later', the watch will remind you again after 10 minutes.
When the watch and phone are connected, open the Zepp app, tap Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > To-Do List, and you can create or edit a to-do list, set reminder times or repetitions for to-dos. Up to 60 to-dos can be added. When the specified reminder time arrives, the to-do reminder will appear on the screen. You can perform operations such as 'View', 'Done', 'Remind in 1 hour', 'Remind later', and 'Ignore'.
The app allows you to manage time scientifically and set concentration and break durations in a cycle. This helps you balance work and breaks with minimal interruptions and manage time more intuitively and effectively. By default, each work session lasts 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. You can create custom work and break durations. The watch enters DND mode during the work session.
In Profile > Amazfit T-Rex 3 > World Clock in the Zepp app, you can add times for different cities and then synchronize them to the watch to view the real-time time in these cities. Up to 20 different cities can be added. At the same time, the watch provides some default cities, so you can quickly add cities to the world clock list on the watch.
The stopwatch can measure time with 0.01-second accuracy for up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. The watch can count up to 99 times during timing. When counting, the time difference between the current and last counts is also recorded.
The Countdown app provides 8 shortcuts for quick setup. Additionally, you can manually set a timer with a maximum duration of 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. The watch will remind you when the timer ends.
When the phone's camera is open, you can take photos remotely using the watch. To use the watch's camera, you must first pair the watch with your phone. If your phone is an iOS device, you must pair the watch with your phone's Bluetooth before use. This feature is currently supported on Android devices.
You can view the following in the Weather app:
Weather data needs to be synchronized via a mobile network. Therefore, keep your watch connected to your phone to keep weather information updated. You can add locations (up to 5) and temperature units (Celsius/Fahrenheit) in the Zepp app. You can view added locations on the watch.
You can view the following in the Sun and Moon app:
Tap the reminder button on the page to enable/disable sunrise/sunset reminders.
You need to calibrate your watch due to magnetic field interference. In the Compass app, rotate the ball to complete the calibration as prompted. After compass calibration is complete, the watch face will display the direction and angle pointing to the current 12 o'clock position. Tap the button on the screen to lock the current 12 o'clock position. Then, when you change direction, the interface will display the angle between the new 12 o'clock direction and the previous 12 o'clock direction.
You can view the following in the Barometer app:
Membership card added to the tracking process.
You can download and install more apps from the app store.
The watch enters low temperature mode when the ambient temperature is very low. When low temperature mode is enabled, the watch's basic features are retained, but some features may be unavailable. When low temperature mode is enabled, the watch's basic features are retained, but some features may be unavailable. Go to Settings > Preferences > Auto Low Temperature Mode. Note: In low temperature mode, features such as voice alerts, touch screen, heart rate monitoring, and blood oxygen monitoring are unavailable.
When your watch is connected to your phone, open the Zepp app and go to Profile > More > Settings. Here you can set distance, weight, and temperature units. During data synchronization, the watch automatically follows the app's settings.
Keep your watch connected to your phone, open the Zepp app, and select 'Heart Rate Zone'. To calculate the heart rate zone based on maximum heart rate or reserved heart rate, select Profile > Avatar > Heart Rate Zone. During data synchronization, the watch automatically follows the app's settings.
The default date format displayed on the watch is 'year/month/day'. You can change the date format to 'month/day/year' or 'day/month/year' in Settings > Watch Face and Time. During data synchronization, the watch automatically follows your phone's system time and time format and displays the time in 12-hour or 24-hour format. If you select 12-hour or 24-hour format on the watch in Settings > Watch Face and Time, the watch's time format will not change with your phone after it is set once.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on the watch to select a wireless LAN to join. If you are connecting to a password-protected wireless LAN, you need to open the Zepp app and, while keeping your watch connected to your phone, select the wireless LAN you want to join. Then, enter the password for that network in the password box that opens in the Zepp app.
On the watch, go to Settings > Bluetooth to select and pair Bluetooth audio devices. Note: If you cannot connect to a paired Bluetooth device, please cancel the pairing status and then re-pair the connection.
You can set a watch password in the watch's App List > Settings > Preferences > Off-Wrist Lock. When the system detects that you are not wearing the watch, it automatically locks the watch with a password. You will need to enter the password to continue using the watch.
