How It Works
Headset Controls
The Shokz OpenComm 2 headset features several controls:
- Power/Volume + Button: Used for turning the headset on/off, adjusting volume, and activating voice prompts.
- Volume - Button: Used for adjusting volume and other functions depending on the mode.
- LED Indicator: Displays the headset's status (e.g., pairing, charging).
- Magnetic Charging Port: Connects to the magnetic charging cable.
- Multifunction Button: Used for various functions like answering/ending calls, switching EQ modes, and changing languages.
- Microphones: Includes a noise-canceling microphone for calls and two additional microphones.

ON/OFF
To turn on the headset: Press and hold the Power/Volume + Button until the LED Indicator flashes blue. You will hear "Welcome to Shokz."
To turn off the headset: Press and hold the Power/Volume + Button until the LED Indicator flashes red. You will hear "power off."
Pairing to Mobile Device
Ensure your headset is powered off before starting.
- Start with your headset turned off.
- Press and hold the Volume + Button until the LED Indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- On your mobile device's Bluetooth settings, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz."
- You will hear "Connected."

How to Wear
Slide the headset over your head, bring it to the back of your neck, and position the ear-hooks on your ears.
Important Notes:
- Position the noise-canceling microphone close to your mouth.
- Wearing the headset incorrectly may cause discomfort. Ensure the transducers rest in front of your ears.

Music and Calls
Adjusting Volume: While audio is playing, press the "Volume +" or "Volume -" buttons. A "beep" indicates maximum volume. Listening at high volumes may affect hearing and distort audio.

Activate Voice Assistant | Press and hold for 2 seconds when the device is on standby. |
Mute Microphone | Click once when on a call. You will hear "mute on." |
Unmute Microphone | Click once when on a call. You will hear "mute off." |
Check Battery Status
Operate controls while audio is not playing.
To check battery status: Click the "Volume +" or "Volume -" button while music is paused. Audrey will announce the battery status (e.g., "Battery high," "Battery medium," "Battery low," or "Charge me").

Extra Features
EQ Modes
The headset offers different EQ modes for various listening experiences:

Switching EQ Modes
To switch EQ modes: Press and hold both the Power/Volume + Button and the Volume - Button while music is playing until you hear a beep. Audrey will announce the selected mode (e.g., "Standard Mode" or "Vocal Booster Mode").

Turn Multipoint Pairing On
Connect to two devices simultaneously.
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold the Volume + Button until Audrey says "pairing" and the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- Press and hold the multifunction button and Volume - button until Audrey says "multipoint enabled."
- On the first device's Bluetooth menu, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz." You will hear "connected."
- Turn your headset off.
- Re-enter pairing mode by pressing and holding the Volume + Button until Audrey says "pairing" and the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- On the second device's Bluetooth menu, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz." You will hear "connected."
- Turn your headset off.
- Turn your headset on. Your headset is now connected to both devices.

Turn Multipoint Pairing Off
To disable multipoint pairing:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold the Volume + Button until Audrey says "pairing" and the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- Press and hold the multifunction button and the Volume - button until Audrey says "multipoint disabled."

Restore Factory Settings
To reset your headset to factory settings:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold the "Volume +" button until Audrey says "Pairing." The LED indicator will flash red and blue.
- Press and hold the multifunction button, Volume - button, and Volume + button simultaneously until you hear two beeps and feel a vibration.
- Turn your headset off. The headset is now reset and can be re-paired to your device.

Changing Languages
Your headset supports four built-in languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
To change the language:
- Follow the instructions when your headset is powered off.
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold the Volume + Button until Audrey says "pairing" and the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately.
- Double-press the multifunction button. The language will switch when you hear the corresponding language announcement.

Care and Maintenance
Charging Tips
The headset will automatically shut down when charging.
When the headset is at low battery, you will hear a "charge me" prompt and the red light will flash intermittently. Use the provided magnetic charging cable for charging.
The LED indicator turns red during charging and the headset turns off automatically. The LED indicator turns from red to blue when charging is complete.

Moisture Detection Alert
How it Works: The headset can detect liquids like water, sweat, or rain. If the headset is plugged into the charger while wet, the LED indicator will flash red and blue, and the headset will emit a beep. If this occurs, remove the charging cable, dry the headset completely, and then proceed with charging.

OpenComm2 General Care and Safety
- Store the headset in a cool, dry place. Recommended working temperature: 0-45°C (32-113°F). Extreme environments may reduce battery life.
- Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, combustible gas, and other liquids.
- Ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the charger to prevent damage.
- This headset is water-resistant, not waterproof. Do not submerge in water.
- Clean with a soft dry cloth.
- Do not charge immediately after exercising to prevent sweat from causing circuit damage.
- After long-term storage, charge the headset before use.
