How It Works
This section details the basic operation and features of the headset.
Headset Controls
The headset features several control points:
- Power/Volume+ Button: Located on the top of the headset, used for power on/off and volume adjustment.
- LED Indicator: A small light near the Power/Volume+ button indicates status.
- Volume- Button: A separate button below the Power/Volume+ button for volume adjustment.
- USB-C Charging Port: Located on the underside of the headset for charging.
- Multifunction Button: Located on the side of the earbud, used for call management and other functions.
- Microphone: The boom microphone is designed for voice calls. Note: The microphone is used for voice calls only.
ON/OFF
Turn on the headset: Press and hold the [Power/Volume+ Button] until the [LED Indicator] flashes blue. Audrey will say, "Welcome to Shokz."
Turn off the headset: Press and hold the [Power/Volume+ Button] until the [LED Indicator] flashes red. Audrey will say, "Power off."
Pairing to Mobile Device
To connect your headset to a mobile device:
- Ensure your headset is turned off.
- Press and hold the [Volume+ Button] until the [LED Indicator] flashes red and blue alternately.
- On your device's Bluetooth settings, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz_II". Audrey will say, "Connected".
Pairing to PC
To connect your headset to a PC:
- Ensure your headset is turned on.
- Plug the included USB adapter (Loop120 USB-A or Loop120 USB-C) into a USB port on your PC.
- Connection is established when Audrey says "Connected" or beeps, and the [LED Indicator] on the USB adapter is solid cyan.
Configure: To play music or take calls, ensure "Loop120 by Shokz" is set as the default input and output device in your operating system's audio settings. This applies to headsets connected with the wireless adapter.
How to Wear
To wear the headset:
- Slide the headset over your head, bringing it to the back of your neck.
- Position the ear hooks on your ears.
Ensure the noise-canceling microphone is positioned close to your mouth. Wearing the headset incorrectly may cause discomfort; verify that the transducers are resting in front of your ears.
Music and Calls
Control your audio and calls with these functions:

Wireless Adapter
The headset includes Loop120 USB-A and Loop120 USB-C adapters for PC connectivity. Install Shokz Connect software on your computer for pairing, firmware updates, feature settings, and resets for the Shokz Bluetooth adapter.
LED on the adapter
The LED indicator on the adapter shows the connection status:
- Pairing Mode: Flashes red and blue.
- Reconnect Mode: Flashes blue every second.
- Standby Mode: Flashes blue every five seconds, stops flashing in one minute.
- Bluetooth Connection: Solid cyan.
- Streaming Music/Media: Solid blue.
- On a Call: Solid green.
- Muted During a Call: Solid red.
Check Battery Status
To check the headset's battery status:
Click the [Volume+] or [Volume-] button while music is paused. Audrey will announce the battery status, such as "Battery high/Battery medium/Battery low/Charge me".
Extra Features
EQ Modes
The headset offers two EQ modes:
- Standard Mode: Provides balanced frequencies for listening to music.
- Vocal Booster Mode: Enhances intermediate frequencies, ideal for audiobooks and podcasts.
Switching EQ Modes
To switch between EQ modes:
Press and hold both the [Power/Volume+ Button] and [Volume- Button] while music is playing until you hear a beep. Audrey will announce the selected mode, "Standard Mode/Vocal Booster Mode."
Turn MultiPoint Pairing On
To connect to two devices simultaneously:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold [Volume+] until Audrey says "Pairing" and the [LED Indicator] flashes red and blue alternately.
- Press and hold the [Multifunction Button] and [Volume+] button until Audrey says "MultiPoint enabled."
- On the first device's Bluetooth menu, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz_II". Audrey will say "Connected".
- Turn your headset off.
- Re-enter pairing mode by pressing and holding [Volume+] until Audrey says "Pairing" and the [LED Indicator] flashes red and blue alternately.
- On the second device's Bluetooth menu, select "OpenComm2 by Shokz_II". Audrey will say "Connected."
- Turn your headset off.
- Turn your headset on. It is now connected to both devices.
Turn MultiPoint Pairing Off
To disable MultiPoint pairing:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold [Volume+] until Audrey says "Pairing" and the [LED Indicator] flashes red and blue alternately.
- Press and hold the [Multifunction Button] and [Volume+] button until Audrey says "MultiPoint Pairing disabled."
Restore Factory Settings
To reset your headset to factory defaults:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold the [Volume+] button until Audrey says "Pairing". The [LED Indicator] will flash red and blue.
- Hold down the [Multifunction Button], the [Volume- Button], and the [Volume+] button until you hear two beeps.
- Turn your headset off. The headset is now reset and can be re-paired to your device.
Changing Languages
Your headset supports four built-in languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
Follow these instructions when your headset is powered off:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Press and hold [Volume+] until Audrey says "Pairing" and the [LED Indicator] flashes red and blue alternately.
- Double-press the [Multifunction Button]. Languages have been switched when you hear the corresponding language.
Care and Maintenance
Charging Tips
The headset will automatically shut down when charging.
When the headset's battery is low, you will hear a "Charge me" prompt, and the red light will flash. Use the provided charging cable to recharge.
The [LED Indicator] will light up red while charging. Once fully charged, the [LED Indicator] will turn from red to blue.
