01 Product Introduction
Please read this manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
The Xiaomi intelligent door lock E10 is an IoT intelligent door lock that supports unlocking via fingerprint, password, NFC, mobile phone Bluetooth, and emergency key. It also features remote abnormal alarm, remote viewing of unlocking records, and other functions. The lock can be set up using the Mijia APP. With various Mijia intelligent equipment, rich intelligent home applications, such as intelligent linkage control and linkage alarm, can be realized.
Key Components and Indicators
The front panel of the door lock includes the following components:
- Doorbell: Button to ring the doorbell.
- NFC card swiping area: Area for swiping NFC cards.
- Password entry area: Keypad for entering passcodes.
- Return key: Used for returning or cancelling operations.
- Alarm for the door: Indicates when the door is being unlatched.
- Red light flickering: Indicates the door is unlatched.
- Fingerprint identification area: Sensor for fingerprint scanning.
- Emergency key hole cover plate: Cover protecting the mechanical keyhole.
- Emergency power supply (Type-C): Port for emergency power connection.
- Front panel handle: Handle for opening the door.
- Horn: Sound indicator for alerts.
Indicators and Modes:
- Verification result indicator light bar:
- White light: Successful verification.
- Red flickering: Verification failure.
- Leaving home mode: A key that enables leaving home mode within 5 seconds after leaving home and closing the door. (Note: This function requires enabling in the Mijia APP and setting up a smart scene.)
- Confirm key: Used to confirm operations, typically after entering a password.
- Electric quantity alarm:
- Flicker: Low battery capacity.
- Off: Sufficient battery capacity.
Handle Operation:
- Press and unlock: Pull down the handle for unlocking after successful verification.
- Lift up to lock: Lift the handle to lock the door (lifting the handle for locking is safer).
Notes:
- Remote anomaly alarm, remote viewing of unlock records, and intelligent linkage functions require a Bluetooth gateway device.
- Leaving home mode requires configuration within the Mijia APP.
02 Installation of the Door Lock
The lock installation should be performed by professionals due to the use of potentially dangerous tools. If your package includes on-site installation service, please scan the provided QR code to schedule the service or consult customer service staff. The QR code can also be used to check electronic instructions for use.
03 Preparations for Use
Open the battery cover and insert four No. 5 batteries. It is recommended to check the dry battery condition every three months to prevent liquid leakage, which can damage the door lock.
04 Quick Setting
Connect to Mijia APP
The product is designed to connect with Mijia and can be controlled via the Mijia APP, enabling interconnection and intercommunication with other products. To connect:
- Scan the QR code to download and install the Mijia APP.
- If Mijia APP is already installed, navigate to the device connection page.
- Alternatively, search for "Mijia" in your app store, download, and install it.
- Open the Mijia APP homepage, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner, and follow the on-screen prompts to add the device.
Upon successful addition, the Bluetooth gateway device will connect automatically. The effective Bluetooth communication range is approximately 10 meters, but can be affected by obstacles like walls. APP updates may cause minor variations in operation; always refer to the current Mijia APP guide.
Status Indicator: An icon indicating "Having connected to Mijia" is shown.
Add Users
After connecting the door lock, navigate to the device page in the Mijia APP and add the first user as prompted. This first user is designated as the administrator. The door lock cannot be locked normally without adding users.
05 Daily Use
Verification Status
- Successful Verification: The verification result indicator light bar turns white, accompanied by a success sound prompt (in non-silent mode).
- Verification Failure: The verification result indicator light bar flashes red, accompanied by a failure sound prompt (in non-silent mode).
Unlocking Methods
Unlocking with Fingerprint
- Press your finger on the fingerprint identification area.
- Pull down the handle to unlock after successful verification.
Unlocking with Password
- Enter the password using the keypad and press the Confirm key.
- Pull down the handle to unlock after successful verification.
NFC Unlocking
- Place the added NFC card close to the identification area.
- Pull down the handle to unlock after successful verification.
Unlocking with Emergency Key
- Press the cover plate at the bottom.
- Pull it open downward to expose the keyhole.
- Use the emergency key for unlocking.
Note: Do not keep the emergency key inside the house. Store it in a safe and accessible place for emergency use.
Indoor Unlocking
- Pull down the anti-cat eye unlocking toggle switch to release the lock.
- Press the handle to unlock.
Lift for Locking Indoors/Outdoors
- Indoors: Lift up the handle after closing the door.
- Outdoors: Lift up the handle after closing the door.
Note: Ensure the handle is lifted when leaving or entering the house to maximize safety.
Indoor Back Locking
- Enable back locking: Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to enable back locking (from 90° to horizontal direction).
- Disable back locking: Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to disable back locking (from 90° to vertical direction).
Note: When indoor back locking is enabled, unlocking via fingerprint, password, NFC, or mechanical key is disabled, and the handle cannot be used for unlocking indoors.

06 Local Setting Mode
If using the Mijia APP is inconvenient, settings can be adjusted locally after pressing the "Set" button under the battery cover and verifying the administrator's fingerprint or password:
- Add/delete common user fingerprints.
- Add/delete common user passwords.
- Set the door lock volume.
- Set the speech language (Chinese/English supported).
Prompt: To enter local setting mode, it is recommended to add door locks and users via the Mijia APP first.
