01 Product Introduction

Please read this manual carefully before using the product, and keep it properly.

The Xiaomi Smart Door Lock G500 is an IoT smart door lock supporting multiple unlocking methods including facial recognition, fingerprint, password, temporary password, NFC, mobile phone Bluetooth, and emergency key. It offers features such as remote abnormal alarm, remote viewing of unlocking records, reverse locking, and child lock mode. With an integrated smart camera and screen, it supports stay monitoring recording, door lock abnormal state recording, video doorbell functionality, and viewing the outside scene. The Mijia APP enables the door lock to integrate with various Mijia smart devices for advanced smart home applications, including smart linkage control and linkage alarms, and comes with an induction electronic doorbell.

Note: Remote abnormal alarm, remote viewing of unlocking records, smart linkage, and other relevant functions require devices with Bluetooth gateway functionality or a successful network connection state.

Note: The Mijia APP can be used to customize the internal door key, defining it as a child lock or a combination of child lock with reverse lock.

03 Door Lock Installation

Installation requires professional tools and should be performed by qualified personnel.

If on-site installation service is included with your purchase, please scan the provided QR code (excluded) to schedule service or consult customer service.

04 Use Preparation

Install the lithium battery and 4 AA batteries into their respective compartments after opening the rear panel cover.

Note: Regularly check AA batteries (every three months) to prevent leakage damage. Charge the lithium battery promptly when low; otherwise, facial recognition may fail. Use a 5V/2A power adapter for charging; exceeding this may cause damage or danger. The company is not liable for battery damage, leakage, or fire hazards due to improper use.

Ensure the camera lens is clean by removing any protective sticker for clear image capture.

05 Quick Setting

Add Device

Connect to Mijia for control and interconnection with other products. Scan the QR code (excluded) to download and install the Mijia APP. Users with the APP installed will directly enter the device connection page. Alternatively, search for "Mijia" in the app store. On the Mijia APP homepage, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner and follow the on-screen prompts to add the device.

Note: The door lock automatically connects to the Bluetooth gateway device after successful addition. Bluetooth communication range is up to 10m; walls may affect this distance.

Note: APP updates may cause slight variations in operation; follow the current Mijia APP guide.

Add User

Open the door lock plugin in the Mijia APP and follow prompts to add the first user (default administrator). Any fingerprint can unlock the door without adding a user.

06 Daily Use

Front Panel Indicators

• Successful Unlocking: Facial recognition indicator light is white, accompanied by a success sound (in non-silent state).
• Failure Unlocking: Facial recognition indicator light is red, accompanied by a failure sound (in non-silent state).

Rear Panel Indicators

• Successful Unlocking: Success sound prompt (in non-silent state).
• Failure Unlocking: State indicator light flashes red, accompanied by a failure sound prompt (in non-silent state).

Face Unlocking

1. After facial recording, stand approximately 0.6m in front of the door and face the lock. Recognition starts when the face icon appears.
2. Push or pull the handle to open the door after successful recognition.

Note: Facial recognition may disable automatically after opening/closing the door (default 15s). Reactivate by touching the password input area.

Fingerprint Unlocking

1. Lightly press the finger with the added fingerprint onto the fingerprint recognition area.
2. Push or pull the handle to open the door after successful recognition.

Password Unlocking

1. Enter the added password, then press the confirm key or wait for 1.5 seconds.
2. Push or pull the handle to open the door after successful recognition.

NFC Unlocking

1. Place the added NFC device close to the NFC recognition area.
2. Push or pull the handle to open the door after successful recognition.

Emergency Key Unlocking

1. Press the designated area below the emergency keyhole cover plate.
2. Pry the cover plate downwards after it pops up to expose the keyhole.
3. Use the emergency key to unlock.

Note: Store the emergency key in a safe and accessible place outside the house for extreme situations.

Indoor Unlocking

1. Press the door opening key and push/pull the handle to open the door.

Indoor Emergency Unlocking

1. Rotate the emergency unlock knob clockwise or counterclockwise to its maximum position to keep the lock body in an unlocked state.
2. Grab the handle and push/pull the door lock to open the door.

Indoor Multi-function Key

• Keep the multi-function key pressed for 1.5s (with an audio prompt) to activate or deactivate the child lock or child lock with reverse lock function.
• If the multi-function key is pressed for less than 1.5s, the state of the child lock or child lock with reverse lock function remains unchanged.

Multi-function Key Function Details:

• Child Lock: Only the emergency knob can be used to open the door indoors, or the child lock function can be turned off before using the handle.
• Child Lock with Reverse Lock: Only the emergency knob can be used to open the door indoors, or the child lock with reverse lock function can be turned off before using the handle to open the door outdoors. Non-administrators are not allowed to open the door.

Screen On-Off

• Press the screen on-off key to light up the rear panel screen.
• Press the screen on-off key again to turn off the screen when it is lit.

Note: Screen brightness time can be set in the Mijia APP.

07 Local Setting Mode

When the mobile app is inconvenient, briefly press the setting key (under the lithium battery compartment) to perform operations after verifying the administrator's fingerprint or password:

• Add/delete fingerprint
• Add/delete password
• Set door lock volume
• Set door lock voice language (supports Chinese/English)

Note: For the first-time use of local setting mode, complete door lock and user addition via Mijia APP first.

08 Declaration of Micro Power Short Distance Devices

This product utilizes NFC technology compliant with Class C devices for general micro-power devices. Integrated antennas are used. Control, adjustment, and switching methods are detailed in the product instructions.

Users must not alter service conditions, transmission frequency range, transmission power, or antennas.

The device must not generate harmful interference to other radio stations and must accept interference from industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) devices or other radio stations.

Operation is subject to regulations in specific areas like airports and military zones.

Use of remote controls within a 5,000m radius of airfields is forbidden.

Operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C. Power sources include 1.5V dry batteries, a 5000mAh lithium battery, and a 5V/0.5A Type-C power supply.

Radio transmission equipment model approval code (CMIIT ID: 24J115QQM090) is displayed on the product nameplate.

09 Battery Safety Precautions

• Only use batteries approved by the manufacturer. Incorrect batteries may compromise safety and pose explosion/fire risks.
• Avoid placing batteries in extreme temperatures (sunlight, fire, ovens) as this can cause explosions or leakage.
• Do not disassemble, impact, squeeze, or cut batteries, as this may cause an explosion.
• Avoid extremely low pressure environments, which can cause battery explosion or leakage.
• Do not use batteries that show severe expansion.
• Do not swallow batteries; this can cause chemical burns. Seek immediate medical assistance if swallowed.
• Ensure the battery compartment is securely closed. Keep children away from batteries.
• Dispose of batteries according to national regulations; do not mix with household waste. Button batteries, if swallowed, can cause severe internal burns and be fatal within 2 hours.

Warranty Period

• Within 7 days of signing for the product: Free return or exchange for confirmed performance faults.
• Within 8-15 days of signing for the product: Free exchange or repair for confirmed performance faults.
