Cardo PACKTALK PRO Pocket Guide

Getting Started

The Cardo PACKTALK PRO is a motorcycle communication system. The device features a control wheel, media, mobile, and intercom functions. It also includes an LED indicator and USB charging capabilities.

Basic Operations:

• Press & Hold: Press and hold the control wheel for a specified duration (e.g., 2 seconds).
• Number of Taps: Tap the control wheel a specific number of times (e.g., 1 tap, 2 taps).

On/Off

Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds to turn the device on or off.

Auto On/Off

• The unit automatically turns ON when it detects movement.
• The unit automatically turns OFF after a few seconds of no movement.
• It is recommended to manually turn off the unit for storage or shipping.

Phone Pairing

To pair your phone, press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash Red & Blue, indicating it is in pairing mode. Your phone should then detect "PACKTALK PRO" via Bluetooth.

Cardo Connect App

The Cardo Connect app allows you to manage your device settings and features.

Download

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Register and Activate

Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to register and activate your device.

Choose Language

Select your preferred language within the app settings.

Update Software

The app will notify you when a new software version is available for your unit. Install the update to ensure optimal performance.

General

• Volume Up: Press the control wheel once.
• Volume Down: Press the control wheel once.
• Mute/Unmute Microphone: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second.
• Voice Assistant: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second to activate Siri or Google Assistant.

Radio

Set Presets

Use the Cardo Connect app to set your favorite radio stations as presets.

On/Off

• On: Double-tap the control wheel.
• Off: Single-tap the control wheel.

Controls

• Next Preset: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Previous Preset: Double-tap the control wheel.
• Start Scan: Triple-tap the control wheel.
• Stop Scan: Single-tap the control wheel.

Music

On/Off

• On: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Off: Single-tap the control wheel.

Controls

• Next: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Previous: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Switch Source: Double-tap the control wheel to switch between Music and Radio.

Phone Call

• Answer: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Ignore: Single-tap the control wheel.
• End Call: Single-tap the control wheel.
• Redial: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

DMC Intercom

Grouping

To group with other riders, press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will turn Red & Green. Successful grouping is indicated by a Purple LED.

Mute/Unmute Group:

Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Share Call:

Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Switch Source

• DMC to Bluetooth®: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds.
• Bluetooth® to DMC: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds.

ADVANCED FEATURES

Crash Detection

Setup: Use the Cardo Connect app to set up Crash Detection. The system uses your phone's sensors to detect accidents and can send alerts. Ensure a stable internet connection for proper functioning. Note that this feature consumes battery power.

Cancel Crash Alert: Press any button on the device or use the "Ignore" option in the app.

Phone Call

Set Speed Dial: Use the Cardo Connect app to set speed dial numbers. You can assign contacts to specific speed dial slots.

Call Speed Dial: Double-tap the control wheel to call a speed dial contact.

Music Sharing

Set Sharing Partner: Use the Cardo Connect app to select a sharing partner and initiate music sharing.

Start/Stop Sharing: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

DMC Intercom

Set Private Chat Partner: Use the Cardo Connect app to set up private chat groups.

Start/Stop Private Chat: Double-tap the control wheel.

Add Bluetooth passenger: Use the Cardo Connect app to add a Bluetooth passenger.

Start/Stop Passenger Intercom: Triple-tap the control wheel.

GPS Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (LED Red & Blue).

Step 2: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second (LED Red & Green).

Step 3: Select "PACKTALK PRO GPS" on your GPS device.

Bike Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds (LED Red & Blue).

Step 2: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second (LED Red & Green).

Step 3: Select "PACKTALK PRO" on your bike's connectivity system.

Universal Bluetooth Intercom

Bluetooth Intercom Pairing: Use the Cardo Connect app to pair with other Bluetooth devices.

Start/Stop Intercom: Press the control wheel once for Rider A, double-tap for Rider B.

Reboot

Press and hold the control wheel for 10 seconds to reboot the device.

Factory Reset

Press and hold the control wheel for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset.

Voice Commands - Always On!

The PACKTALK PRO supports various voice commands:

• Call Management: "Hey Cardo, answer", "Hey Cardo, ignore", "Hey Cardo, end call", "Hey Cardo, speed dial", "Hey Cardo, redial number".
• Music Control: "Hey Cardo, music on", "Hey Cardo, music off", "Hey Cardo, next track", "Hey Cardo, previous track", "Hey Cardo, share music".
• Radio Control: "Hey Cardo, radio on", "Hey Cardo, radio off", "Hey Cardo, next station", "Hey Cardo, previous station".
• Intercom (Bluetooth only): "Hey Cardo, call intercom", "Hey Cardo, end intercom".
• Voice Assistants: "Hey Siri", "OK Google".
• Volume Control: "Hey Cardo, volume up", "Hey Cardo, volume down", "Hey Cardo, mute audio", "Hey Cardo, unmute audio", "Hey Cardo, mute microphone", "Hey Cardo, unmute microphone".
• Other: "Hey Cardo, battery status".
• Ignore: "Ignore" (for specific alerts).
