Cardo PACKTALK EDGE Pocket Guide

Getting Started

The PACKTALK EDGE features a sleek design with a Control Wheel for easy operation. Key components include:

• Media
• Mobile
• Intercom
• Control Wheel
• LED Indicator
• USB Charging

Basic Operations:

On/Off and Phone Pairing

To turn the device On/Off: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

To pair your phone: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash Red & Blue.

Follow the on-screen instructions on your smartphone to connect to 'PACKTALK EDGE'.

Cardo Connect App

Download and install the Cardo Connect app from the App Store or Google Play to manage your device.

App Features:

• Download: Access the app via QR codes or app stores.
• Register: Create an account or sign in.
• Choose Language: Select your preferred language for the app interface.
• Update Software: Keep your device firmware up-to-date.

General Operations

• Volume Up: Rotate the Control Wheel forward.
• Volume Down: Rotate the Control Wheel backward.
• Mute/Unmute Microphone: Tap the Control Wheel once (x1 Tap).
• Voice Assistant: Activate 'Hey Siri' or 'OK Google' by tapping the Control Wheel once (x1 Tap).

Radio

Set Presets: Use the Cardo Connect app to scan and save radio stations.

Turn Radio On: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

Turn Radio Off: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Next Preset: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Previous Preset: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

Start Scan: Triple-tap the Control Wheel (x3 Tap).

Stop Scan: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Music

Turn Music On: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Turn Music Off: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

Next Track: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Previous Track: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

Switch Source

Switch from Music to Radio: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

Switch from Radio to Music: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

Phone Call

• Answer Call: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).
• Ignore Call: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).
• End Call: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).
• Redial Last Number: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

DMC Intercom

Grouping: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash Red & Green.

Grouping Success: The LED will turn Purple.

Mute/Unmute Group: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

Share Call: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

Advanced Features

Music Sharing

Set Sharing Partner: Use the Cardo Connect app to select a partner for music sharing.

Start/Stop Sharing: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 2 seconds.

DMC Intercom

Set Private Chat Partner: Use the Cardo Connect app to select a private chat partner.

Start/Stop Private Chat: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Add Bluetooth Passenger: Use the Cardo Connect app to add a Bluetooth passenger.

Start/Stop Passenger Intercom: Triple-tap the Control Wheel (x3 Tap).

Phone Call

Set Speed Dial: Use the Cardo Connect app to set speed dial numbers.

Call Speed Dial: Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

GPS Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the Control Wheel for 5 seconds (LED Red & Blue).

Step 2: Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap) (LED Red & Green).

Step 3: Connect to 'PACKTALK EDGE' via your GPS device's Bluetooth settings.

Universal Bluetooth Intercom

Bluetooth Intercom Pairing: Follow the steps in the Cardo Connect app to pair with other Bluetooth devices.

Start/Stop Intercom (Rider A): Single-tap the Control Wheel (x1 Tap).

Start/Stop Intercom (Rider B): Double-tap the Control Wheel (x2 Tap).

Reboot

Press and hold the Control Wheel for 10 seconds to reboot the device.

Factory Reset

Press and hold the Control Wheel for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset.
