Cardo PACKTALK PRO Pocket Guide

This guide provides essential information for your Cardo PACKTALK PRO device.

Getting Started

Powering On/Off:

On/Off: Press and hold the control wheel.
Auto On/Off: The unit automatically turns on when movement is detected and turns off after a period of inactivity. It is recommended to manually turn off the device for storage or shipping.

Phone Pairing:

Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash red and blue.

Cardo Connect App

Download: Available on the App Store and Google Play.

Register and Activate: Follow the on-screen instructions in the app.

Choose Language: Select your preferred language within the app settings.

Update Software: Ensure your device has the latest firmware by updating through the app.

General Features

Volume Up: Turn the control wheel clockwise.
Volume Down: Turn the control wheel counter-clockwise.
Mute/Unmute Microphone: Tap the control wheel once.
Voice Assistant: Activate Siri or Google Assistant by saying "Hey Siri" or "OK Google", or by pressing and holding the control wheel.

Radio

Set Presets: Use the Cardo Connect app to scan and save radio stations.
On: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
Off: Press and hold the control wheel for 1 second.
Next Preset: Tap the control wheel once.
Previous Preset: Tap the control wheel twice.
Start Scan: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
Stop Scan: Tap the control wheel once.

Music

On: Tap the control wheel once.
Off: Tap the control wheel once.
Next: Tap the control wheel once.
Previous: Tap the control wheel twice.
Switch Source:
- Music to Radio: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
- Radio to Music: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Phone Call

Answer: Tap the control wheel once.
Ignore: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
End Call: Tap the control wheel once.
Redial: Tap the control wheel twice.

DMC Intercom

Grouping: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. The LED will flash red and green. Grouping success is indicated by a purple LED.
Mute/Unmute Group: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
Share Call: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.
Switch Source:
- DMC to Bluetooth®: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds.
- Bluetooth® to DMC: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds.

Advanced Features: Crash Detection

Setup: Configure Crash Detection in the Cardo Connect app.

Cancel Crash Alert: Press any button or select "Ignore" within the app.

Advanced Features: Phone Call

Set Speed Dial: Configure speed dial numbers in the Cardo Connect app.

Call Speed Dial: Tap the control wheel twice.

Advanced Features: Music Sharing

Set Sharing Partner: Follow the steps in the Cardo Connect app to set up music sharing.

Start/Stop Sharing: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Advanced Features: DMC Intercom

Set Private Chat Partner: Configure private chat partners in the Cardo Connect app.

Start/Stop Private Chat: Press and hold the control wheel for 2 seconds.

Add Bluetooth Passenger: Follow the steps in the Cardo Connect app to add a passenger.

Start/Stop Passenger Intercom: Press and hold the control wheel three times.

Advanced Features: GPS Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. LED flashes red and blue.

Step 2: Tap the control wheel once. LED flashes red and green.

Step 3: Pair with your GPS device.

Advanced Features: Bike Pairing

Step 1: Press and hold the control wheel for 5 seconds. LED flashes red and blue.

Step 2: The device will pair with your bike. LED flashes red and green.

Step 3: Pairing complete.

Advanced Features: Universal Bluetooth Intercom

Bluetooth Intercom Pairing: Follow the steps in the Cardo Connect app to pair with other Bluetooth devices.

Start/Stop Intercom: For Rider A, tap the control wheel once. For Rider B, tap the control wheel twice.

Advanced Features: Reboot

Press and hold the control wheel for 10 seconds to reboot the device.

Advanced Features: Factory Reset

Press and hold the control wheel for 10 seconds to perform a factory reset.

General Commands:

Answer: "Hey Cardo, answer"
Ignore: "Hey Cardo, ignore"
End Call: "Hey Cardo, end call"
Speed Dial: "Hey Cardo, speed dial"
Redial Number: "Hey Cardo, redial number"

Music Commands:

Music On: "Hey Cardo, music on"
Music Off: "Hey Cardo, music off"
Next Track: "Hey Cardo, next track"
Previous Track: "Hey Cardo, previous track"
Share Music: "Hey Cardo, share music"

Radio Commands:

Radio On: "Hey Cardo, radio on"
Radio Off: "Hey Cardo, radio off"
Next Station: "Hey Cardo, next station"
Previous Station: "Hey Cardo, previous station"

Bluetooth Intercom Commands (for Bluetooth intercom only):

Call Intercom: "Hey Cardo, call intercom"

Voice Assistant Commands:

Volume and Audio Commands:
