Scosche GM1515F: Vehicle Dash Installation Kit
For Chevrolet, GMC, Isuzu, Oldsmobile - 1994 and Newer Vehicles
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Scosche GM1515F kit. This installation kit is manufactured to the highest quality standards. Designed to replace the factory-installed dashboard radio, this kit allows for the installation of a single-DIN or shaft-mount stereo, or other aftermarket accessories. The kit features a 1/2 inch molded extension to accommodate stereos with deeper chassis. Its mounting design is identical to the factory radio, eliminating modifications. It is molded in the same gray color and texture as factory dashboards for an OEM appearance.
Preliminary Steps / Radio Removal
WARNING: Before proceeding with installation, disconnect the negative battery cable of the vehicle to prevent damage to the electrical system.
Radio Removal

Assembly for Radio
This section describes the assembly of the kit components for radio installation.
Illustration A Description: The illustration shows the components for mounting a car stereo. Key parts include: a 'Radio DIN' unit, a 'Mounting Sleeve' (Manchon de Montage de la Radio), 'Rear Support Brackets' (Courroies Arrière de Soutien), a 'Factory Pocket' (Pochette de l'Usine), and a 'Mounting Panel' (Panneau de Montage). The process involves fitting the radio into the mounting sleeve, attaching the sleeve to the mounting panel, and potentially using the rear support brackets and the factory pocket.
Stereo Installation (Continued)
- Connect the stereo to the factory wiring harnesses (refer to wire codes) as described in the stereo installation guide. (Using the Scosche GMDA original connector and the Scosche MDA-1 antenna adapter eliminates the need to cut factory plugs.)
